Today i will tell you how to put flash themes on your w850i,w610i,w880i,s500i,w580i,w900i, from CID49 to CID52.

Ok now to getting the software, you will need......

XS++ v3.1 (supports CID 49/51/52/53)

Ok thats the downloading done.


Now go to the place where you saved XS++ 3.1
E.G ( C:\Program Files\XS )

1.
Open the XS++ you just downloaded.

2.Plug your phone into computer by USB and put into "Phone Mode"



3.Press Connect






4.Turn of phone then hold c down.

Ok now you are set up now to do the flashing .....

5.When you are connected click " FSX " in the bottom right corner.

7.Then when you are connected it will come up with the file manager on the left side.

9.Drag and drop flash themes (swf 's ) you want to put on your phone into the right hand box.

If uploaded fine it will come up with this....

Then to disconnect phone from pc click " Shut Down " in bottom right corner of XS++.

Then you can unplug your phone and the flash themes are on your phone.
But this is no good as you are not using them with anything so these tutorials will tell you how to make them work with any flash theme you have put on your phone. ( Note:I did not make this).Thanks uroszg!

If you are getting problems with doing this like an error message when you install them on your phone like " Theme file corrupt " or the flash menu is not there then make sure.
You have put the EXACT name of the swf so if it is " citybeat.swf " you NEED to put the whole name not just " citybeat " or " CiTyBeAt.swf " as it is CASE-SENSETIVE. Also if this does not work remember to .tar the theme files WITH TUGZIP and NOT 7-zip.Then you can rename to .thm and then put the .thm file in your "themes" folder on your phone


Ok now to the faq part of the post ....

Q.How do i delete of my phone when i am bored of them?

Q.What have i done wrong, my menu has loads of different coloured dots and is only at the top part of the screen and you cant make it out?

A.The .swf file is either corrupt or to small for your w850i so try another one...

A.This is a common problem if you have a w850i without play now on.And vodafone as even i cannot get them to work so sorry just dont click on them on the menu .

A.Check back at the theme.xml file if you have done it right if not make sure you have uploaded the specific swf menu file to your phone.



Q.My phone will not turn back on after i have take then cable out of the phone?

A.Ok, just take the battery out and put it back in again if this does not work post a topic on the forum.


Q.All my normal and flash themes are mixed into one directory what can i do to seperate them?


A.Make a "Flash Themes" directory in your themes directory and put them in there.

Q.How many flash themes can i put on my phone?

A.I would put as much as i could until i have atleast 2-3 mb of memory on your phone memory so it does not get full up(incase you need to store messages or dont have memory card).

you know the wehn you have to go into the files_to_flash folder, imine doesnt have all of thos folders or the two thems that look like there in their on yours?
do i manually create those?

Nope its not working, would post pictures if i could.
Im on three pay and i have set menu icons no matter WHAT. Stupid three and there stupid good deals, if id have known then id have gone with o2 or something!! Anway, would it be possible to unlock the phone so any sim could go in it, i believe this is debranding ( probably got the wrong thing ). And could i do this myself?

EDIT: NEVER MIND I GOT IT WORKIN, ill pm you with the way i did it and you can add it to the tut, see folks this is how easy it is to flash your phone, i only got into it last night and now look, im helping out!!

mmm i cant pair up themes with with the flash menu, it saids theme is corrupted. but i know i followed the instructions properly cuz the flash menu that i downloaded with theme already paired works. what am i doing worng? and is there a site where i can find flash menus that are already paired with a theme?

I have the same problem with kogutheking. I have successfully upload the flash themes into my w850i but when i restart the phone and goes into 'Themes', the flash menus are not there.

Anyone can help us on this?

The flash themes do not come up in the "themes" part as they are now flashed into the phone and you can not see them in the phone file browser.
Now you need to go back to the tutorial and go to this part of the post...



And read those instuctions in the zip to make them work with the uploaded swf file(flash menu) you want.

Make sure you have edited the " Theme.xml " correctly as it says in the themeflash.zip
Also when you archive (compress) the theme files make sure you .TAR it and not any other format such as .zip , .rar . And then you can rename the .tar to .thm and then put onto your phone

nop, still doesnt work. the only theme that works is called "spinin'" because it was already paired up. i dun get wut i am doing worng.. btw that ferrari theme looks pretty awesum on ur phone, where can i get it?

Thanks for the advise. I downloaded the required files and did according to what was instructed on the FLASH presentation.

I uploaded the 'newly' created theme(.thm) into my w850i memory card and try to install this flash-menu-embedded theme. But unfortunately, i've got this error message "File corrupt, cannot be used."

I have got that ferrari theme and if you want it to work with one of the flash themes you uploaded just pm with the exact name of .swf you want to use with it and i will send it to you.

hi like the work you have done on the themes for the w850i. i have jus gone out and bought one and when i saw these themes i thought i won't them only thing was how too? when i got my w850i it had a flash theme already on?? the orbit one. but that was the only one lol soo i came on here and saw this toturial about uploading these themes on which i have downloaded the themes and download the phone XS++ and installed it to my computer. soo i did the following steps make the folders in the file files_to_upload. then put the themes in that i wanted to upload and i was ready. well i plugged my "USB" cable into my computer and plugged into my phone. i then opened PHONE XS++ and did the following clicked connect.. turned phone of holded c button on my phone and it came back on... but the phone xs++ did'nt connect all it did was come up with this>> "Error canot open phone comunication port".... "Disconnected unplug the phone".... "sorry, your phone is NOT SUPPORTED" please get back to me and help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ooo by the way i see you are from the west midlands im from other side east midlands mate aniway hope you can get back to me and help me.

Hey Jak01, i got it working! it would seem that u have to use TUGzip to zip up the theme or else it wont work. Thx for ur awesum guide. i still want ur ferrari theme tho! gimmie that menu as well!

some updates,

I followed what waffles said and used TUGZip to tar'd the theme. (previously was using 7-zip to tar'd)

Put my theme into the w850i, installed . . . no errors!

But however . . . when i scroll to the menu... no flash. Nothing's change, still the same ol' boring menu style.



What ould be wrong here?

When you connect it to phonexs++ just turn of the phone and hold c . Don not turn it on again until flash themes have being put on and phone is unplugged.

It installs into the w850i without any error messages... but nothings change. Normal menu, no flash menu.

No you have done every thing right (Scratches head)
Not sure why it does not work could be the network you are on.
The only other thing i can think of you need to put the EXACT name of the .swf

So if it is..

clubpulse.swf

You must put clubpulse.swf dont put capitals if their are none.
Also make SURE you have put that exact swf on your phone....

Here it is anyway see if it works( i put it with a cool lamborghini theme)....

Yes you can add it to any theme(theme.xml) you want

I think you will need to download the w850i drive...
It should say install new hardware in bottom right toolbar when you plug the phone in.
And then follow instructions from there.Either that or yuor usb is broke thats what happened to me the other day for some reason.

Try putting a different flash theme on your phone.

If you can, install the drivers again on a different computer and then try that again. either than that the only thing i can think of is that you are on a not supporting flash themes network.Also is your phone actualy connecting to the pc?If none of this helps you may have to post a help topic on the forum.

All i can say that it may be the network you on im not sure but if you really really really want them i think you may have to unlock your phone ( not reccomended if you dont have much knowledge on this ).But apart from that there is no problem you are doing wrong.I know this sounds silly but you may have to go back to the tutorial and make SURE you are doing it correctly.
