Ok. Here is the problem i have...and to me it is a huge deal. I cannot send text messages to anyone, but i can make phone calls. I have a w300i...and i have tons of flash themes and stuff already on it that work...so its not because i flashed it wrong. I have no idea what to do. Any help will be appreciated!!!!!

i have found out that i can send text messages..but only multimedia and voice ones. this really puzzles me. if you have the w300i then you would understand. please help me out guys!!!!!

Im in the same boat. Only i cant send anything. I can receive and strangely enough i was able to send a few last evening and one this morning and now i cant at all. Cingular was worthless on the phone. They want me to send it in and get a nice "refurb." Damn that. Anyone have any ideas?

go to settings and check your operator's service centre number
each operator uses different numbers

Because thats where the phone connects to to download SMS messages.

when i try to press edit....my phone also fries out.

you can try updating your phone with seus and check whether you may get to send sms again..

Lol,might sound a lil stupid, but are you putting the area code infront of the number when you txt? Cause here in canada you need to, or else it'll just say its failed

sorry but that is a very stupid response. i know what an area codes is bud. my screen turns white when i try to txt.

So no one has any idea how to fix this damn thing? Would someone mind going through there settings and posting them here. gonna need anything you can find. Can send Pic messages but not regular txt. However, i can get online now. Not that i ever use it.

You might have a custom.xml problem stuff like that happens when you do!!

This happened to my dads K800i when I flashed it. He couldn't send text messages but he could still make calls! All I did was reflash it again and it worked.

Ok. I took a look at the customize.xml and it doesnt look to have anything out of place. However, there is one closed mms tag that has no opener. If someone would post the guts to a working one i can compare the two. Thanks again.

sounds like you have a chunk of your customize.xml missing cos where you refer to having closing tags should defo have opener and settings for messages etc
there must be hundreds of w300 customize.xml's in the hundreds of custom packs all over the forum
get one from there

Ok, here's what fixed it for me. Go to master reset on your phone and reset settings ONLY. Then get on SE's website and from the corporate page, have them text you the settings for MMS and WAP. Now it works. I dont understand either but whatever. Good luck!!
