I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to make it so that 3rd party java apps that I download don't ask for permission every single time it makes a connection to the internet.

I have a AT&T Sony Ericsson W580i. When I go to permissions settings for any of the apps I download, I only have the options "Always Ask" or "Never". I read online that it can be changed to allow for more options such as "Always" and "Ask Once".

Does anyone have any information on how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

+1 This is a must have, otherwise it makes web enabled Java applications unusable.

Only download signed apps (like Google Maps), and you won't have to worry about permissions. Alternately, there is a way to sign your own apps so that they will be self-signed and have no permissions problems. Do a search here on it.

Because you installed the unsigned version of the app. When it installed, did you read the warning about unsecure application and chose to install it anyway? That was your warning that you would have to be asked about connecting to the internet every time. My Google Maps is signed and never asks me about connecting to the internet. Quite cool.

... where do you get the signed apps from?
