In my country , on Orange one can send anonnymus sms messages by witing *ri# (or something like that, i can't remember exactly).

Maybe someone sent you an anonymus message.

Had a few of these on my phone before, I deleted them as spam a theory I had was that it was a language that cannot be displayed on the phone, a little like going to a website on a PC that does not have chinese language support and it just displays gibberish.

I have the same issue with one friend. His SMS always comes from Unknown Sender (in Phone) but when I connect the phone to MyPhoneExplorer it shows her name correctly and I can see that message is from my friend.

Actually, I didn't include the Japanese or Chinese langs because the MAIN doesn't support them. But if the phone cannot display the charecters, you get the [] [] instead of weird symbols.

there are also some sites that allows you to send a message with the sender you want ( you can write anything), oh, and another thing, i'm using a site that allows me to send free messages(1 credit = 1 message, i get 2 redits a day) , and i can choose what the sender will be, the name of the site, or my number.

i am almost 90% sure what it is it is a network massage i got a lot of them when i was on t mobile now i am on 02 and i get none. but the odd thing is that when i got a t mobile network massage it would say that it was a t mobile service massage it would not say unknown user

If so, then i can't see the reason why they would send a so up message to me ....

she has some kind of old panasonic. she doesnt use any sites or encriptions. I have tested this thing myself. and this happens only on my phone, I have sent messages to my bros k510, my fathers samsung e-710 and no probs

I think this is panasonic issue as there is incompatibility with that phone and k750i as sometimes instead of unknown sender, message text (!) or part of it is written in sender info.

nop. it is same with every sim on my k750i. I have used Beeline, MagtiGSM and Geocell ones (All 3 operators of Georgia).

These are very common for me !! true man .. this happens many times in ma old k750 ..

according to me the cause for this is extending the default storage limit in the phone !!

The solution i do for this is that i FAR into the phone and empty the message folder completely ! then it works fine for a period of time till the no. of SMS exceed 500+

w810i cannot have that mod, (extend inbox)

AFAIK, I think FAR has been compatible with w810! if it is, then its possible!

w810i has been that since April, or actually before....

battery icons can be changed with a patch (sysgfx)
*in some models this is not possible
