PLEASE EVERYONE!!!

I just bought a w300 last month, and to my disappointment, found barely any patches for it. yes, i do have flash menus installed etc. but i would like to have some patches.

my firmware is R9A036, i live in australia, and my phone is cid49.

please!!! upload the following:

-the best and newest camera driver for the w300
-the best walkman skin for w300 (and if possible, how to make the walkman look like the w850 walkman - the menu, background ect)
-the patch so you can use the radio without the headset, and how to install it
-the best acoustic driver for w300, if i would like it to have:

--best quality for earphones (i use them a lot)
--very good (best) quality for speaker, and for it to be louder
--i don't care for bass, really
--no hissing sounds, crackling sounds between songs etc.

-how to install the acoustic driver

Edit: also, could someone please post how to change the font of the w300. ESPECIALLY HOW TO CHANGE IT TO THE W850 FONT, which can be seen here:

Lol, looks like you're asking quite alot. Good luck with that. Though all of that stuff would likely be handy for me too. My firmware is R9A031, with the 'No update available' crap.

I don't hear any hissing or crackling between switching songs though

i've been into this modding craze for almost a year now, and i have so far only managed to find 5-6 files.

this is absolutely awesome!!!

not many people bother to upload things for the w300, so this is why i started this topic.

so here are ALL the files i have collected over this year!

i've compressed it to 130 mb.

ok, everyone, i have a BIG problem - would greatly appreciate it if someone would help me.

i would like to apply some of my new patches (thanx stuCk) on my w300, with setool2lite, but i seem to be having problems.

firstly, i DID follow the correct instructions (read gdfs, select .vkp file, write scipt, i did follow all instructions etc)

problem is, does not work every time.

it doesn't screw up my phone, however doesn't apply the patches either.

during the process i receive two dialogue boxes.

the first is what i should receive - press yes to remove, no to apply patch.

however the second is: some patch values differ, continue?

my firmware is W300i_R9A036_MAIN_CHINA_JE_RED49.

all the patches i have tried to apply are for r9a036.

I HAVE ATTACHED THE LOG FILES FOR ALL MY ATTEMPTS WITH SETOOL2LITE.

SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP!!!

You need to be on a GENERIC firmware to apply patches.

i have the generic main firmware (.mbn), and the fs (apac for australia, right?)

i was going to do this now, actually, however i am not sure if this is how you do it...

if i want to switch from the china main firmware to the generic, should i just flash both the new main firmware and the file system with xs++?

ok, so i went ahead and stupidly did what i thought was right for my phone - this was before you posted this, qwerty12.

firstly, i got a wsod (white screen of death). didn't want to come off, either (even after reinserting battery)

then, i tried reflashing just original main firmware - i tried both the generic and chinese, and after both of them, i received the following:

it booted up ok (se logo), so im thinking good, no wsod.

however then start menu shows up, and i know this is not good, because it was a weird colour scheme (black and yellow), and i had ahd that before.

sure enough, i got a 'configuration error. please contact your network operator or service provider'.

i tried method with which i got rid of this before (reflashing main), however this didn't work this time!

PLEASE HELP!!! I AM OUT OF IDEAS!!! I GOOGLED THIS - NO LUCK. PLEASE, HELP!!!

configuration error means u need a custpack and try 2 use a main and fs that match

firstly, by an fs which matches the firmware, i gues you mean same number (r9a036 etc).

if so, then they do match.

secondly, i need a new fs. i checked on topsony, and it is W300_R9A036_FS_ANZ_RED49. PLEASE, UPLOAD THIS SOMEONE!!!

also, i do not know about this custpack until now. this is the one i need: W300i_CDA102499_121_R1A_Generic_Trade_Australia
could someone please both upload this and, in a detailed manner (instead of just saying flash so and so file, please say which buttons to click etc.), explain how i can fix my phone so that it is to the
-new firmware (generic) - have got file
-new fs (anz) - need file, have specified above
-custpack (generic trade australia) - need file, have specified above

use xs++ open it up main firmware.mbn in main box FS.fbn firmware in FS box then press flash u upload ur custpack with setool2 lite or far + sepf

i did the first two things when i screwed up my phone. obviously, the custpack is like a finalisation.

could you please specify how to upload custpack with far+sefp - must i copy some files to some folder?
also, could you specify how to do it with setool2lite, jst in case far+sefp doesn't work

finally, i cannot stress enough that i do not actually have the files (fs and custpack)

they are on the topsony site, however when i registered, it says i still cannot download files.

please upload them for me!!!

using far+sepf u need 2 copy the custpack 2 tpa/preset/custom i think if u have far+sepf working then use that if not use setool2 lite and i'm not a topsony member and i don't have them files

I tried to download it, but was rather too big and slow speeds made me cancel it.

And I already have most of the files, although I believe toshady's acoustics are the best so far for W300. Never used this blackice.

blackice's acoustics are absolutely the best. they can get loud if you want them to, however have pristine clear quality. here is a link to his latest acoustics pack, wow II live. hope you try it - you're missing out on a lot if you don't!

there really aren't enough files out there for the w300, and i wanted to make sure that there are, for the best phone ever!

attached is the camera driver, version 4.0.

the differences are barely noticeable in terms of picture quality, however the camera does not lag as much.

the camera driver you must copy to ifs/settings/camera

there are slight differences... the camera is slightly less laggy and the image quality is slightly better if you have a good eye...

however, to be honest, the w300 camera.... not much you can improve it with...

as fot the layout, give me some time and i'll try. i got this file off someone else, and i didn't want the operator logo, anyway...

this is 'cos i can't upload two files with same name.

hope they work (they did for me, however i personally prefer no op. logo/text)
