Hello together,

last night I flashed my K750i to a W800i. It works and all is okay (only the german is not aviable...). I finalized it with Europe5. Software is R1L002.

My problem is to activate the Techmode. I tried the nr *585*0000# ect. but ever comes unknown application. Can somebody help me? I don't find it in the shortcuts and not in the network options.

Does a patch exist for this?

2 ways to activate TechMode:
enter *585*0000# in standby mode + Send button
enter *585*0000 in standby mode + Call button
You will see on the screen:

Go to My Shortcuts -> you will see TechMode application.
You can see the TechMode application in Settings->Mobile Networks.

There are 3 screens in TechMode:
- GSM Channel
- GSM AMR
- GSM GPRS

To minimize TechMode push and hold return button.

9999 - no signal

CC - no info, seems like it depends of operator settings
-DD - Rxl (recieve level): -40dBm...-117dBm, -40 is strongest signal
EEEE - Cell ID
F - Cell sector number
G - no info (my phone shows 1 or "---" when phone hopps to other cell. Shows 2 with another SIM. When I switched phone to another operator network 93)
HHHH - seems like another channel
I - no info (in my phone almost always 4, possibly fiquency of phone registration at network)
JJJ - no info, range 0...31
K - no info (seems like Timeslot number)
LL - no info (seems like time advance, range 0...34)
MM - no info
NNN - rate of speech codec:
HR - half rate
FR - full rate
EFR - enhanced full rate

OO - no info, range 0...95 (possybly RxQual)
PP - no info, range 0...83
QQQ - network country code (NCC)
RR - operator code (MNC)
SSSS - Location area code
TTT TT, UUU UU, VVV VV, WWW WW, XXX XX, ZZZ ZZ - numbers & Rxl of the best alternative channels

Code *585*0000# tested & working fine on following handsets:
SE K750 - R1CA021
SE К750 - R1DB001
SE K750 - R1BC002
SE K600 - R2BA019
SE D750i - R1BC002
SE W800 - R1BC002



You can add the Techmenu to your quick menu by simply making a shortcut. Or you can do this in Far:

In the /tpa/preset/custom/ edit the customize.xml file and add:

Its an undermenue like Net Monitor. You need it to read out celldetails... And i really need it.

I used the search. And I found the same as you write. But it don't work. Also I don't have a My shortcuts button. So I open a new topic, because I think there are more who has the same problem.

u need to apply gdfs script to enable the battery option + netmonitor option
ask QWERTY12 he is profesional at this.

You can only apply the GDFSScript if the phone is CID36.

thank you for your help. I tried the script with the gt2 tool. But Techmode is not activated. I can't find it in shortcuts and when i fill in the combination *585*.... a message with UNKNOWN APLICATION will be on the Screen... In the network settings, i can't found something.

Software is now flashed to 1RL002, W800i.

I also add a text to the customize.xml, it doesn't work... ???

Another question: When I flash the phone with new main, an new FS, than the GDFS will be new or not?

You need to use "Reset Settings" for changes in customize.xml to take effect.

Fine, now, I have a shortcut. When I click on TechMode, nothing happens...

If u just add the techmode shortcut, then it wont work. U have to execute *585*0000#. Maybe for K750 @W800 need use certain main firmware.

@bimasakti: if your phone is a w810 i dont think you will get it to work. i've tried with different w810 with no luck.

Nop, It's working on my w810. On w810, it isnt just press the *585*0000#, that wont work. u have to upload the code with customize_upgrade. By pressing *585*0000#, then the techmode will enabled.

now i have added thise one to my customize.xml and after I reset the settings:

Dont add it directly to the cuztomize.xml. Paste this code with notepad:

Save as cuztomize_upgrade.xml. Dont forget to select the encoding as "UTF-8". Put it on /tpa/preset/custom, directly with FAR.

I think you mean customize_upgrade and not cuztomize_upgrade? I upload the file, made a reset, restart the phone and i've the same problem... i safe the filename under customize_upgrade.xml.

Yes, sorry for mistype . Dont reset it. After u transfer that file to /tpa/preset/custom/, press *585*0000# to enable it.

Well, on my W810, I wrote the GDFS script, dialed the code, and it gave me Network Error. I'll try with a customize.xml I just made... I'll post the results.
