Is it available to enable sleep mode clock in
w810 by default? Did i have to insert sleep mode clock tag in customize.xml?
Yes only through customize.xml. I would create a shortcut to it through such as update_customize.xml and put that in your phones eternal memoery. Works like a charm.

Might you explain, please, how to do it?
Thank tou very much!!!!!!!!!!!
create a file using notepad
tpa\preset\custom\customize_upgrade.xml.@
in the file add this
CODE
/usb/other/customize_upgrade.xml
next create another file using notepad
usb\other
in the file add this
CODE
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<customization>
<mmi>
<settings>
<sleep-mode-clock>true</sleep-mode-clock>
</settings>
</mmi>
</customization>
when you start your phone, you should see a please wait screen. This will run every time you start your phone.

Can you show me the
w810i screen with sleep-mode-clock?
When your phone is locked and the screen is off. You can push the + - buttons for your camera. The time is then displayed. Normally its a white background and the time/msg in black. Its now just inverted so its now a black background and the time/msg in white.

I want that when the telephone is blocked, the screen continues with the clock in stand-by, as a W800/K750. That is possible?
Thank you veryr very much!!!

what name have I to give at this file? and where are the folders where to put customize.xml? Have I to create them?
thanks
I did it, without help...
however is strange that during sleepmode (now display is black and time white) if you look closely you can see the time without press any button...
It would be enough trying to magnify this to have a watch displayed continuosly.
Could someone know how? Maybe modifying the customize_upgrade.xml?
With this would I be able to have sleepmode clock even if I dont press +/- just like in
w800i and
w550i?
do you mean with customize_upgrade? I dont know, I asked for that here, the only thing I could say is that now the clock is very very little visible (I mean without pressing any key), only with a lot of light. If it'd be possible to enhance that sleepmode clock would be visible as the
w200, that is the phone I'm using now...
Tried it and it stil doesnt display sleepmode if I dont press button. It only inverted the color
right, the same for me...
Time is almost invisible, but it's there, as a matter of fact sleepmode clock lines are inside menu.ml of
w810, but something inside firmware makes it invisible...
thanks se...
The
W810 display needs to be lit if you want to see anything on the screen, hence why

removed this function. A constant lit screen drains your battery - and it really isn't that big a deal to press a volume button to check the time.
you're right, I know that the light drain battery, I just wish to have the choise how to use MY battery...
However, I mean a low lit during sleepmode, just enough to see time, nothin more.
k510 for example have a lcd display, but it has a working slepmode clock...
Yeah, but the thing is, this will
never be developed as there is simply no need to. Now if it were that you had to enter a 17-digit code in order to see the time, a patch would have been written a long time ago. But now, you get the clock at a single press of a volume button or the Walkman key. I'm sure you'll learn how to live with that
now i simply changed phone, and I will sell
w810...

@corman-yeah I've already got the inverted sleep mode clock thing.but the point is, it is totally useless if i want to see it without pressing any button.actually i wanted to know if it is possible to increase the size by editing layout.xml so that it becomes visible without pressing any button.
Thanx.

Hey, but if u REALLY try, u can sometimes c sleepmode clock without pressin' any buttons... Well, I guessa... U have to look @ it from the right angle... And it should reflect something bright... GAH, DAMN IT, worked yesterday!!! -.-'

so is there a way to turn the inverted clock back into the original display clock?this clock actually serves nothing but a li'l bit extra battery consumption.m rapther upset.i upgraded with customize upgrade.xml.
If you want the old white background - black clock back, use the same customize_upgrade.xml, but replace 'true' with 'false'

Is there a sleep mode clock elf that can display in a suitable contrast?and if there is one,does it show all the time?
No there isn't. I am astonished by how many people want this - is it
really that much to press the volume button

?!

Well, I hava kinda solution!

There is an elf, which allows u 2 hav sleepmode clock all the time on, made by Polish elf-maker, zylka. I'l send it 2 u when I get home - now typin from sql library ^^'
@thezibrail
newest se phones are able to do a lot of hardest things, forgetting the simplier ones.
Take a
w200 and you'll have a sufficient visible sleepmode clock...
@najodleglejszy
could you link this elf here? If I'll have some time I'll try it.
najodleglejszy
2009-04-24 13:38
Here comes d elf...
Author: zylka
Idea: mag999
The main idea of this elf is to shorten backlight time. Then displays comes down to brightness set by user. Both time and backlight are bcfg-configurable.
2 have sleepmode clock always visible, u hav 2 set:
- time - 8000 ms or more
- uncheck "Disable on: keylocked"
- brightness: 20% (in elf, I guessa ^^)
Then block ur keypad and... VOILA!
are you using it? works fine?
najodleglejszy
2009-04-24 14:31
Well, no, didn't test it ^^' But u can try it on your own, gah, your phone won't explode if it won't work -.-'
that's true, but it's difficult to run elves, and it was been better to know if it works, that's all
thanks anyway guy
najodleglejszy
2009-04-24 15:37
Well, this elf only needa 2 put in Zbin... that's all -.-
do you mean all that I've to do is put this file into the zbin folder? and what about library?
najodleglejszy
2009-05-02 17:52
Gah, read bout elves, it's not so difficult... And install elfpack and lib, and put elf in ZBin... Thoughtta u'v already gotta elfpack installed -.-'
