Use this little program to read the phone lock code from your K750/W800.
Might work with other phones as well.

I have tested the program with my service cable.
Since I cannot find my USB cable I cannot test it.

Executables are included for Mac and Win.
This is the readme:

1) turn off phone
2) execute LockCode_USB.exe (double-click)
3) connect phone to PC via USB cable
4) read the output

Edit: new version that waits for a anykey before it quits
Edit: newer version that will display your lock code in clear text

Hmm,

Reading this post leads me to believe this is not for unlocking a simlock, but for retrieving any lost security code, correct?

If it's for unlocking the simlock code, i cant quite figure it out.

Here's the info from my phone:

As I said in the topic's name, you know where to find this user-configurable "lock-code" in the phones menu and you know what it is for.

This code has nothing to do with provider-configurable "sim-locked" phones, meaning locked to a certain provider.

@psycho dad:
Exactly, that post referred to a lost user-configurable lock-code (locked to a certain SIM card).
You need to actually count the zeros towards the end and you will find: 0400000000 (4 digits, (the unused digits are not FF'ed out): 0000)

Aha,

Thanks for explaining. Guess it's not the easy to remove the simlock with only DCU-60.

I know. I've been following that post too.

I mean i know it can be done. Davinci and other online flashers can do it just fine, but you need a credit. And for some strange reason none of the standalone phone service software supports the DCU-60.

guess i'll just wait and see.

I was about to write a step-by-step how to run a commandline app. but if you could put in that, it would solve complications for those not familiair with the cmndline thumbsup.gif

Well, mostly you are very fast in your actions but in case you have other things to do.. wink.gif

A-step-by-step-how-to-run-a-commandline-app...

1. Extract the contents of the .zip-file to an easy to type folder, i.e. c:\simple
2. Goto the windows Start-menu and select Run.
3. In the dialog that appeared, type cmd and choose Ok

A box with (generally) a black background and grey letters appears.

4. Type c: and press Return or Enter
5. Type cd c:\simple and press Return or Enter (ofcourse if you extracted the contents of the zip-file to another foldername, use that one instead)
6. Type lockcode_usb and press Return or Enter

from here follow hendrix' instructions in his first post in this thread. smile.gif
