Hello, looks like the smiley's is handy here. ---> newhere.gif So please move this thread to the right forum if this is the incorrect one.

Well, I forgot the phone lock code, so I can't even access the phone anymore. How should I proceed: Is there a hidden combination to press; could I reset it using FAR; Or updating with SE's Update system?

Note: Phone lock (4-8 digits), not Sim lock.

Please help me, because I really tried everything I can think of. I'm not using the standard 0000 (or what the pre-installed one ever is). I mean, there MUST be a way.

I'm sorry if I'm not clear enough, and for all bad English, I am very young.

the only way I can think off is reflashing all the firmware ; all settings and files will be gone though.

Well, I don't care a bit about the settings or the files, how should I reflash it? I have no DaVincia account or Wotan account. And no money for it. As you can see, I'm in need of help. =)

the only way is davinci, tms or a service centre
wotan doesn't read user codes

if you got a service cable you can unlock (with resetting user code to 0000) the phone using "free" service software

1) Is that the lock code that prevents other SIM cards to be used with your phone?
2) Is that the equivalent to the "read phone lock code" in EMMA3?

Hendrix, I don't know what EMMA3 is, but the phone lock code does not prevent other SIM-cards to be used with the phone. IT can be switched on and off from the "Settings" menu in the phone. The problem is I can't figure out how to get there.

I reflashed it yesterday, with Davinci 13.7. Yet the phone lock is therel!

Okay, I have set my "phone language" to English. Where in the "Settings" menu do you actually see the "phone lock code"?

Is it: Settings -> General -> Locks -> Phone lock? If you do the "info" on it, it will tell you "protects your phone to be used with other SIM card"

Edit: I have posted a little program that can read that above mentioned code from phone:

for those curious in the matter --
xs++ can also tell you the lock code ...
connect your phone to xs++
then under configuration go to gdfs
in that area clickon phonelock..
if u have a db2010 it will tell you the lock code
if u have a db2020 it will reset it to 0000
