Hello,
I'm new at this so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place or this error has already been posted. I could not find any answers. I have an unlocked G705. I flashed the phone to one of the W7xx series to enable conversations mode in SMS. And everything worked fine, until I did a master reset on the settings about a month ago and the Conversations mode disappeared. Didn't mind too much... phone still worked fine...UNTIL Today, I was charging my phone and playing music when all of a sudden I got a weird error message about how the battery cannot be charged and I must use a sony ericsson battery??? Then I unplugged my phone and turned it off. I turned it back on to see a new error message "Please insert CORRECT sim card" After turning the phone off, taking the battery and sim out and restarting the phone, nothing had changed. I was unable to access anything in my phone. I plugged the phone back in to the charger, turned it off and on and now there is no sim error but I still get the error about the wrong battery and my phone not being able to charge and MYPHONE CANT FIND ANY NETWORKS, and WIFI won't work and applications like Bluetooth are unavailable. PLEASE someone help me and tell me what to do. I am completely lost. PLEASE HELP. |

Boysie, I had the same error on my W595 - it will refuse to charge.
You need battery for 10 minutes, but I'd recommend at least 30. 80 is just to be completely safe. -------------------- |

I had flashed my K610i with 10% battery, and nothing strange happens.

Charge it first. Unfortunately that is one of the problems. When I plug it in, it says that I am not using a sony ericsson battery... I will try and reflash it later today, does it matter which firmware I should use? G705 or W7xx? I'm still very new at this and don't quite remember how I flashed my phone the first time...I'll have to follow the tutorials posted on the forum here... |

Try first the original G705 firmware. And if everything works flash it again to W7xx!

Jenaroni,
Do this, connect your phone to the USB cable and charge through PC. Did you get the computer data cable with your phone? Just attach it and it will start charging. You will see the charging indicator. I hope this will surely work. And I have flashed at 80% , no problem occurred. If you still want to charge it to 100%, leave the phone attached to the pc, then flash later. good luck. This post has been edited by ketans: 2009-11-01 17:34

Ketans, I'm not sure if it will even charge through USB. The safest option would be to borrow a battery from someone else and use that whilst flashing

I have to agree with corman: if its not charging by normal charger, then why would it charge by PC/USB cable?
Try to borrow a battery of the same type from someone, just to flash it This post has been edited by cchaos: 2009-11-02 13:27 -------------------- Downloads for w810 (and blackice accoustics for db201x) | Peters V2 acoustics (db2020 only) | Mini guide and download for flash drivers REST file guide for setool2lite | se-nse a-win lounge | Signature rules: READ THEM! hmm, ok,
I thought it is somekind of Charger to Battery coupling, that works with eachother to prevent the use of fake or imitation batteries in SE. Jenaroni, Like Corman and cchaos said, try inserting someone else's battery is a good idea. Or if you cannot borrow someone's battery, another idea will be use a Multipurpose charger that charges any mobile battery (some people call it Khekda charger), adjust its points to charge the battery externally. Hope you will get it in your region. Its very cheap in cost. then flash the phone etc. Do tell us what you did. good wishes. This post has been edited by cchaos: 2009-11-02 15:40
