Multitouch is being 'considered'. Hmmm... it may or may not happen.
Which leads to the next question about Android 2.0, notice how he says the UX platform will eventually EVOLVE into Android 2.0 eventually instead of saying directly that the X10 will get the upgrade. We know the UI is software written over Android, in this case 1.6, and will have to be written for 2.0 which takes time. Yes, UX will be incorporated into Android 2.0 but the question is on which Android phone by SE. THE X10 HAS NOT RECEIVED THE NOD ON THIS ONE!! It makes sense why he couldn't commit on the multitouch question. He danced around these two questions and I for one am still having those two questions that need answers. -------------------- It is not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it.

No multitouch!
 Wonder why multitouch isn't featured, you can easily live without a pen (confirmed from me and a lot of friends who have a iPhone/iTouch), multitouch is great for touchscreen games, I see no bad things with the technique Apple and others use in their touchscreens... >,> -------------------- Want a Spotify account? Apple holds a patent on multitouch. Apple doesn't feel like sharing (i.e. licensing). Anyone doing multitouch on capacitive screens plays with fire.

I think you may be making more of an issue out of it than there really is. You should know that any PR announcements have to be careful because people hold them to every word that is said. Also he is specifically talking about the X10 in this, by saying the UX Platform will evolve onto 2.0 just says to me that it will receive the update but probably a little later than non-customised UIs @zlayaa No multi-touch doesn't mean you have to use a stylus, in fact they don't even work on a capacitive screen. My HTC Magic officially has no multi-touch but I still have multi-touch function added to the browser. The hardware supports it so there's really nothing lost. I hope they make that date but at the same time I hope that the phone is truly ready for release and that they don't throw it out with a host of bugs like the A200 platform. Releasing it early but not working properly will be just as damaging if not more than being late.
