I have bought a second hand k750i and its display is faded.I am new to this forum and I dont know if this could be curable or not.I went to a mechanic and he says to change the display. If there is any way to make the display well again? It looks like the problem is for low contrast effect. If I can set the contrast option,it may work fine. Please ans to my post if anyone can.

Hi,
Is the display faded more at the center and dark at the corners.? Look at the screen side ways. If it is like that, then change the display. The Brightness setting is in the Settings. Go to the last icon in the menu, then go to the Display settings, then at the bottom you will see the Brightness. If you increase the brightness, look better but it will drain the battery charge. Low brightness also gives good contrast, if the display screen has no problem.

good luck.

Or you can type >*<<*<* to change the contrast and see if your screen functions correctly. As a last resort, make sure your cable is attached properly. If you are 100% certain that your screen isn't fixable, get a new one from ebay or cnn.cn.

isasach, read the question correctly. Why does he need to check wire for display screen of the k750i? Are you talking about internal belt of the display that attaches to the circuit board? Tell in details he wont understand that.

Boysie, you also think that pressing those keys will change contrast? lol.gif

Listen m8, I read the question correctly, and sometimes internal cables can become loose if one drops his phone or sometimes even from daily use. People have come across this several times here, not only with screens, but also other things, such as the camera unit.

And no, pushing those buttons won't change the contrast, it will enter into the service menu where you can check the screen and other components, aswell as change the contrast and maybe some other settings.

ok ok , laugh.gif
ok good boysie, laugh.gif

In this >*<<*<* menu, there are some tests to check the screen display color and all the modules of the camera. let him just check the internal belt cable first, or he will get confused.

Actually, Im sure I saw an option in the service menu that does change the contrast. However Im also sure that this was on a w200. Not certain if that option is on the k750.

Oh, and whilst Im posting here: kill the 'tude please?

Well I know there is such an option on my V800, so surely a bunch of other phones will have it!
