W580i - Help Requierd After Fixing. |

Ok
 so here's the thing. A few days aago my w580i, which has worked fine for ages ran out of charge ( not a big problem) but when i tried to charge it and turn it on ago it wouldn't i only got a red flashing light on the "c" button. after doing some searching i found out that this means it needs "flashing" and found a a short guide from someone on what i needed to do. i downloded setool2 lite and xs++3.1 and tried to do this but i could never get the phone to connect or the software to detect the phone.anyway i took it somewhere and they were able to flash it for me and it's working, except that when i turn it on now i get a "configuration error. please contract etc etc€" message that i can't get past. I have a read a few simular thread from people who also get the "config error" mesage but i still can't get the phone to conect/be detected by the software (setool lite and xs++) does anyone have any ideas on what i can do/am doing wrong? also, i would realy appriciate someone giving me a step by step on what to do as i havn't used any of this before and i'm working from very cut down guides so i feel that i may be missing out simple steps etc ps apologies in advance if this is somehting that has een coverd many times before, i have had a look through etc but to no avail. |

I suspect you haven't the flash drivers installed and the "Configuration error" is because there is no custpack uploaded. Wherever you took it to get it flashed didn't finish the job.

Thanks - though i won't beable to take it to them anytime soon. are there any ideas why i can't get it to connect to setool or xs++? at least that way i could possibley try and sort it myself.

i can now connect it to xs++ and setool, but like i said i am still new to this,
