Beggining to regret this
camera is awful beyond belief, i had N95 before and it blows it out of the water in all departments. i was a great lover of the W800i an i appreciate that you cannot directly compare the w995 with an n95 but i at least expect it to do what it is advertised to do. and on top of this the internet is so slow i might actually drop dead before it loads the media go is as slow as the previously mentioned internet on first connection to windows the device manager freaked and wouldnt accept it the screen is 256k colors compared to n95 16million i know this is a bit of a rant believe me i want more than anything to love this phone but every task i give it, it fails....miserably This post has been edited by woodyman84: 2009-10-09 11:06 |

Internet is slow?? I don't think it is, install Opera Mini and then try (probably a problem with your router).
Media Go, never used it. If you don't like it, use other program. Windows wouldn't accept phone - Windows fault, mine works 100% fine Can you actually see a difference between 256k v 16 million? I cant. Another Nokia fan fail -.-. This post has been edited by lollylost100: 2009-10-09 11:12 -------------------- ![]() Vote for Patrycja Gawron! Slow internet? go to your operator or ISP and complain.
HTC's Androids only got 65000 colors still no difference. Like mentioned above, don't like MediaGO then don't use it... Camera isn't awful and unlike N95 it can be modded. Windows device manager didn't accept? reinstall windows or call windows, for me it works fine... -------------------- |

Im certainly no Nokia fan i assure you
the pitfalls of the N95 would be a very long list indeed and i was talking about GPS internet through T-mobile an i dont think its them as on other phones the internet works fine and about twice the speed. but i will try opera. an when i can actually get a clear picture with no noise ill agree on the camera front...... like i said ive owned mainly SE all my life so dont think im here to say Nokia is better cos im not but at the moment this phone is not filling me with joy |

Maybe you should considered buying a camera instead?

Well be lucky you didn't complain on design, cus that shouldn't come from a N95 user, darn it's heavy

O, I've thoroughly tested the W995 and I can assure you that the camera does not suck by any means. It may not be the best cell phone camera, but it's still better than the N95. Also, the "lowly" 256k colour screen can beat most 16mils out there, so your complaint is extremely shallow, as this is mostly a marketing gimmick. W995's screen is by far one of the most vibrant and well-contrasted I've seen.
Your other points have been addressed by the other guys. -------------------- Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now.

and i was talking about GPS internet through T-mobile GPS internet? lol. You must mean GPRS. GPRS is an ancient technology which indeed IS slow. I wonder if you have 3G enabled in your settings, 3G is about 5 times as fast. If you don't have 3G or HSDPA there, blame your operator. You won't notice the 256.000 colors vs 16.000.000 colors difference when you're viewing normal pictures and interfaces. Only when you let both show gradients there will be some difference in favour of the 16m. My HTC has 65.000 colors and it beats the crap out of all other phones I have in terms of brightness and contrast. Even gradients can look good if you know how to export them for mobile phones. N95's cam is a nightmare and buildquality is a term that phone hasn't ever heard of. Your complains are pretty extraordinary... -------------------- My work: Bright future FL 2.x Released October 22nd | Flash Lite 2.x Vista Sidebar | Vista transformation DB2020 | |

I think he's partialy right. W995, C905, W715 don't have "true" GPS. It has only "internet" GPS, if you know what i mean. You nead an internet conection to use the gps, so the GPS is useless. N95 has many GPS software solution without using the internet. So i really don't see why would you need GPS on a phone like C905, W995 or Aino.
i don't know about the camera but my C905 does take better photos then N95. But N95 has that "wow" efect, and a better color corection in low light condition in then C905. -------------------- ♫< ♫< ♫< W595 >♫ >♫ >♫ Extreem Audio Power Mix

If you go to the status info screen, it takes several minutes but the phone can still connect to GPS without any internet use happening. |
