Hi

I bought a W810i off a guy and wanted to flash it with HK firmware to have the ability to show and input chinese.
The phone should be from Canada(Rogers)

Here is the initial log from XS++ 3.1

CODE
01:11:51| Baseband ID: 8040

01:11:51| Protocol Version: 3.1

01:11:52| Firmware Version: R4CE012

01:11:52| EROM: n/a

01:11:52| Ready for operation!

IMEI seems to match fine with box and label in housing.
CID and color is right 49 and red plus DB2010.

I thought I was in for a easy flash.

I backed up GDFS and proceeded with flashing with

W810_R4EA031_MAIN_HONG_KONG_HN_RED49
W810_R4ED001_FS_HONG_KONG_RED49

23:19:41| Generic(non-branded) custpack: Yes

23:19:41| Allowed languages: en, zh,

23:19:41| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

First flash I forgot to take out memory stick, but second time went smooth.

Unplug the phone, pulled out battery, put it back in. Power on phone...
Please wait prompt came on...and stuck at around 30%. I left that for about 7 hrs...still samething.

I then tried to connect to XS++ and notice it is exactly like the original log, still M_EAST_N_AFR firmware
Tried R4DB firmware, same thing.

Now I tried to flash it back to the same state to restore GDFS.
Couldn't find a main that's M_EAST_N_AFR. So I used the generic one along with the M_EAST_N_AFR FS with same region customize.

Connect back to XS++ again and same info as original. I tried to restore GDFS, but still same "please wait" problem.

Can somebody give me some suggestion as to how to revive it or flash it?
I've been reading guides for 2 days...
Thanks to anyone who reply.

OTP problem (I think)

Theres a patch that can fix that, but Im not sure if its for your firmware or not. Have a search (esp in this section)

I found out I do have IMEI mismatch from setool2lite.

Flashed with r4ea generic firmware, customized + patch that you linked and I was able to revive phone.

Now, what's the way to get rid of IMEI mismatch completely? By restoring GDFS? Since I got the phone used, and it seems to be have been flashed before. I can't get the original GDFS.

Have you got the log of the "mismatch" please?

As for getting rid of it completely: that depends on how the mismatch was created in the first place. If another GDFS was flashed to the phone, it wouldnt be working now (unless they used something like setool box to flash it with)

Sounds like they did use setool box to fix the phone, and got rid of it quick. I dont think anything can be done about it without paying for it sad.gif

I see...that's too bad.
I was wondering, if I can get my hands on setool box or get somebody to use that for the phone.

What would I ask for? Is there a way to get the original IMEI set and then get a copy of that GDFS? Would that prevent this from happening again?

Thanks.
