OK I have a K850i running firmware R1FA035 (generic)
The phone is unlocked and I use it on O2. I have heard that there is a newer firmware version but only available to people on the "3" Network. Is it possible to debrand that firmware and use it on my phone? Thanks in Advance |

R1FA037 isn't much better than Generic R1FA035 anyway

Ah right is there a list of differences anywhere? Also will it be available as a generic firmware or are they not updating the firmware anymore?
After 3 firmware updates im still getting problems with the flash not going off or going off to late |

There's no list for R1FA037 afaik, only for 035.
I'm pretty sure Sony Ericsson wont update the K850 anymore as it's a bit to old but who knows -------------------- |

There's no list for R1FA037 afaik, only for 035. I'm pretty sure Sony Ericsson wont update the K850 anymore as it's a bit to old but who knows I received what I would call "official word" from SE escalations that no further firmware updates are planned for the K850i. Shame, that. I have documented numerous reproducible bugs, several of which are crash-producing. BTW, first post for me here. I've been lurking for some time trying to work out how to mod my (then) K790a, and now I have the K850i. I'm rather agitated with SE over how quickly they abandon phones and leave bugs outstanding, and how they seem to ignore the US market (where's my C905a?! And not that ugly, butchered version from AT&T.) Anyway, much thanks to everyone who posts and produces. I still haven't quite worked up the courage to start patching and modding, mostly because I have a few unanswered questions, but in due time. |
