First of all Hi All. Very special thanks to the smart people who created this forum and shared all their great knowledge with us "noobs". I`m from Bulgaria where I bought my SE w810i -great phone.
I`m not sure if this is the right place to write about my problem pls excuse me if it`s not So... Few weeks ago my phone started switching off by itself - the battery was full or about 50%. It couldn`t be because of the battery because i changed it with another one. Still it continued shutting down. Few days ago it did this again- (So I said some bad words to my phone) and turned it on expecting it to work again. But when i turn it on now it flashes with a white screen the whole display then black screen/vibration/ white again and it shows the following on the display: FOTO.BG - DSCF73861 - Photo and Video sharing by FOTO.BG © So it should be flashed right? I changed the sim card, nothing. This stays on the display the keybord flashes when buttons are pressed but they do nothing and when i shut it down it it beeps like when u turn the loudspeaker. PS is there any chance to save my numbers saved in the phone memory? |

Try using My phone explorer to back everything up: install PC suite for the drivers
As for flashing: yes try that, but we need to know what language, CID and EROM colour your phone is so we can help you get the correct files for flashing. 20x for the quick reply cchaos  So i need to find My phone explorer now. I backed up my GDFS with X++. As for language: English will do my CID & EROM: 49 Colour: RED, baseband:DB2010 firmware:R4DB005 Custompack: EUROPE_1 i think that`s all P.S. Should try flashing only MAIN or beter flash MAIN , FS and CUSTPACK |

I`ve tried to connect the phone with MyPhoneExplorer but it couldn`t find an attached device. I downloaded a virtual port software wich fools the pc that the phone is connected to one of the COM ports (because MyPhoneExplorer searches the COM ports not the usb?) but still nothing
 I guess my contacts are lost Should I try FAR + SEFP to try to recover my phonebook or if MyPhoneExplorer can`t do it nothing can. As for the MAIN, FS versions shouldn`t they be R4DBOO5? Or I should use the ones that BOYSIE99 posted ? MAIN GENERIC (R4EA031)... FS EUROPE_1 (R4EA031)... Thank You again for your support |

Ook I`ve done the job I reflashed my phone and its up and dailing again
!!Buuut i lost my contacts ... Is there any chance to get them from the GDFS file? Because when i open it notepad i can see the names of the contacts but not the number looks like they`re coded and appear with some +_*& symbols |

You may get some info regarding numbers by loading the GDFS file into a hex editor (WinHEX for eg.)
