Hi all,

I have a SE W810i. Recently, when I turned it on, the screen started flashing black and white. I understand that this is a firmware problem, and that to fix it, the phone needs flashing.

I have tried and tried to do this, following various online tutorials, to no avail.

Does anybody know of where I can pay to get this service done?

That sounds like WSOD - white screen of death, which is caused by the GDFS being corrupt.

Follow this flashing guide: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=15779

If that still doesnt fix it, and you have your original GDFS (not one thats downloaded from anywhere or from another phone| - your phone will defo die if it is) then try restoring the backup to the phone.

If that still doesnt work, then it looks like a trip to the service centre is in order
