W580i, w580i CID 53 HELP! Options

Hi all,

I’m kinda new to this and I’ve been lookin through the forum and got a bit confused with all I’ve read.
Could any one help with regard to a guide of what I need to do and the appropriate software etc I need to use?

I would like it unlocked and debranded. I want to upgrade it with the newest cool custom stuff and be able to use as many features as it is capable of doing, also there is an issue with the camera function which I’m hoping is a software glitch and might be sorted after this process to.

Thanks for the reply. I'm from the UK so the english language.
(Although if anyone knows of a welsh language pack also that would be good.)

When you talk about the games menu, you just mean Entertainment / Games menu on the handset....if so yes Ican access it but wouldn't know wot to do from there?

I asked about the games menu as you will to use the anycid patching method (basic guide: run executor on phone from games, take battery and cards out. Reinsert battery. Connect to JD flasher, click bflash, flash the main, add QAS patch. Disconnect, reconnect using bflash (this time without using the executor) add unlocking patch, disconnect, should be unlocked.

Will try this out asap and let you guys know how I get on.
Am I right in thinking that theres still no way to back-up before attempting this?

(Just a thought... I've found out, that it seems that the samsung S5600 offers welsh as a language option... is there no way that its pack can be adapted?)

You can back up your contacts etc with my phone explorer (search this forum for that: there should be a link to it). GDFS cannot be backed up unless you want to use linux ubuntu and Phone XS++ (crossfire) (which is complicated to set up)

And no: I would of posted the FS and custom pack if welsh was available as an option
