Hi,
I have recently upgraded my W705 Firmware from R1DA034 to R1FA035. Reason being Applications and games suddenly got deleted, even the protected ones, and even after installing them again they were being deleted on re-start. All i have to say is that if at all any1 have not yet upgraded then do it, its a worthy upgrade. The major change is in the Audio Quality, to be specific the Headphone audio quality, while the speaker volume still remains low. The Equalizer works really well, very responsive. Camera I dint notice a big difference, but just a feeling that it improved a little. Facebook Application added. Larger font and hence clearer display. And i noticed it having a better predictive text support. I will post the original acoustics of this firmware soon here itself. Tc Mohit I just accidentally deleted one file "farfield_call.wbxml" instead of read. So that file is the not the original one. Here it is the attached file--> original W705 R1FA035 acoustics.

Thanks for the info. I just all of a sudden decided to update my phone, which I haven't done since I got it back in April, but I had no idea what it changed.
Is there any other small changes? |

yup....
there are always some minor changes. but it really makes no big diff... to me acoustics was the major one. -------------------- |

Yah, the acoustics was the major improvement i can see.. There is no need to modify the driver.. Its ald good enough.. BTW, the have changed some value for farfield.. and the phone are more responsive.. -------------------- |

yes...responsive with the equalizer...
and the other major feature being the Facebook Applicaton specially made for Sony Ericsson. which enables you to have Fb on stand by...and even uplaod pics directly...

But the fb application not available for all region, only certain have it, for me is APAC region, i don't have it. What i did is download other region CUST pack and get the .jar file from that CUST pack. Well it works. The listening experience can be improved by editing the .csv file. Now trying to understand the .csv file. -------------------- |

hey there, i upgraded my w705 to r1fa035 firmware too.
yeah, the font is bigger compared to my last firmware and facebook application is nice, but in my phone i noticed that facebook notifications doesn't work does anybody experienced the same problem? |
