Hello,
I hope someone can give me some advice here.
A friend gave me an old Orange branded W850i and I wanted to use this for a while as my phone is playing up.
Now, I went to get it unlocked from a store on a market and true enough, when I put in my T-mobile pay monthly SIM card is searching for networks and finds T-mobile.

The problem is, I cannot make calls, send texts, receive, etc.
I contacted T-mobile technical support who were about as useful as a chocolate teapot. They basically said "It's an Orange phone, it won't work, bye" and hung up. Rude.

Any way, I'm pretty sure there is a way to get it working again. I've even tried a friend's Orange SIM in it - the message on the phone was 'Inactive SIM' even though when the SIM goes back into his phone it works fine.

What do I need to do to get the phone working? Rebranding maybe? I'm after some advice from this forum and will be grateful if anyone can help.

Thanks,
Joe_Fox
