Hello,
I hope someone can give me some advice here.
A friend gave me an old Orange branded W850i and I wanted to use this for a while as my phone is playing up.
Now, I went to get it unlocked from a store on a market and true enough, when I put in my T-mobile pay monthly SIM card is searching for networks and finds T-mobile.

The problem is, I cannot make calls, send texts, receive, etc.
I contacted T-mobile technical support who were about as useful as a chocolate teapot. They basically said "It's an Orange phone, it won't work, bye" and hung up. Rude.

Any way, I'm pretty sure there is a way to get it working again. I've even tried a friend's Orange SIM in it - the message on the phone was 'Inactive SIM' even though when the SIM goes back into his phone it works fine.

What do I need to do to get the phone working? Rebranding maybe? I'm after some advice from this forum and will be grateful if anyone can help.

Thanks,
Joe_Fox

Could try flashing it, but depending on ho they unlocked it you might lose the unlocking, and depending on what CID the phone is you might have to pay to get it back.

Personally I would connect it to XS++ and see the log, and post it here
