W810i, Allsorts happeniong Options

Hi im new to this forum, and doing anything with mobile phones and hope some one on here can give me advice etc on the probs im having with my phone...

got the w810 i ( white ) phone

Charged it up yesterday afrter battery went flat, turned on the phone and all i got was a white screen, then a vibration as though the phone was starting up as normal, another white screen, which then turned to black...and the keys light up
can c the signal strength at the top , , and battery icon along the top but the restof the screen is black
get the option on pressing SELECT or INFO and can select SELECT other wise the key appears at the top of the screen


This just happend with out warning, i know its not the newest of phones but would like some advice on fixing if possible

Download XS++ from the research and development forum.

Download and install some USB flash drivers (theres a link and guide in my signature)

managed to get it working, ising the Sony update service, thanks....

also got xs to read my phone

is there a list of what can be done with this phone, gonna try find a guide for unlocking too, this is a great site

ok phone is now working fine, but can anyone tell me if phone is unlocked from netork in the following logs, im on 02 in the UK can u tell me if the phone should be now unlocked to any network with the following info

As I said to you in a pm: it wont be unlocked.

What you need to do is follow my mini guide and download the REST files for setool2lite: REST file guide for setool2lite

Then download the patches that are also in my signature, add the unlocking patch to the Misc box of setool2lite and click on write script, and follow the on screen instructions: Downloads for w810 (and blackice accoustics for db201x)

When thats done, take out cable and batter, put everything back into your phone and turn it on.

As you are on o2, check the unlock status by pressing >*<<*<* (where > is the right key on the directional pad and < is the left key on the directional pad), service info, SIM loack: all locks open will be an unlocked phone.

regarding rest files , there is no actal folder named rest just
make reast so put the rest files in there , unless meant to create a rest folder, either way looking good so far thanks for ur help m8

Create REST directory as shown in pic then put all the REST files into the newly rest created folder

unlocked i think, well the padlock aint all the way down, now gotta learn what these rest files are, loaded main and fs files with xs++ and added unlock patch with setool

REST files restore the firmware.

Basically, what happens the loaders break parts of the main which makes the phone unusable, but able to patch.

The REST flies are flashed back to the phone as they store what parts of the main that get broken, and makes your phone work again.

do u know if its possible to unlock 3 network phones? been told only they can do it at 3

If you mean 3 branded SE mobiles possible, though if you use WAP you will need the three certificates for internet access
