QUOTE
Use FAR to extract the /tpa/system/layout/layout.xml file. Edit the file to delete the "settings" section under the object "StatusIndication", save, then copy back to /tpa/system/layout

i used a2uploader_v3 to navagate to tpa/system/layout as fars is not compatable with my phone.

i have to questions

1....i have more than one xml file in the folder.

layout_main.xml

layout_second.xml

layout_xml

which one would it be ??

2....how do i extract the file or edit it with a2uploader_v3

my phones unlockd and debranded

Layout_main.xml is the file you want. To copy from the phone just right click the file/folder, then click on read. Inside the A2 folder is another folder called 'ph_out', this is where the files you read from the phone will be. (If your phone is CID53 this won't work and you'll need to download a fresh layout_main.xml, edit that then upload) smile.gif

Xperia X10 is amazing!

Of course, all phones were pointless before the X10. I don't know why Bell even bothered.

I'm not 100% sure but if you have an operatorlist.xml in tpa/preset/default you can find 'orange' in that and can edit it to whatever you want or even delete it.

thanks looks interesting..... but the the download links are dead. can you give me a new link??

iv been playing with

<sett name="TitleMode" value="1"/>
<sett name="OverlayStyle" value="0

for hours...lol...but cant seen to get it right

i did hide it ounce but my theme was all messed up...what i find strange is i deleted all the values between the settings(as in the tut) and it had no effect on anything.
yet changing the values effected the logo, time position..etc.
back to the drawing board smile.gif
