Does the phone still function? If so start the process again from step 1. smile.gif

You can do all sorts of nice things with StandbyMode elf, including removing the operator logo and displaying custom messages.

To remove a patch with SETool, press 'Yes' when asked to apply patch and with JDFlasher you tick the 'Remove' option. smile.gif

With GFX patches its best to make your own with ImgTool because people tend to use the same donor images as someone else and then you get the mismatch warning. If you ever see this DO NOT continue with the flashing. Doing so may result in you flashing the main again. wink.gif

i think the elf i am refering to is called 'logo changer'.
and about removing the patch, i use jdflasher as my phone is CID53 and i selected remove patch but it gives byte mismatch.
when i use imgtool, what if i use the same donor image that the patch i already installed uses?
will it be alrite if i remove all the gfx patch and start making some myself?

Yes, I know logo changer, but StandbyMode is far better. If you get mismatch when removing patch then the patch can't be on the phone.

is standbymode elg and sleepmode elf the same?

and it was my mistake in removing the patch. i was trying to remove the patch that i had already removed. that's why ist was showing byte mismatch. smile.gif

sorry my bad. laugh.gif
i downloaded and installed the sleepmode elf which was of no use by the way.
i am currently using the logo changer elf. i searched for standby mode elf but can't find it.
and one more thing, how do i close and elf? i tried to use bookmanager but using it made my phone restart.

StandbyMode elf...
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?act=att...st&id=33973

You really need to get Bookmanager running in order for you to close elfs. I suggest making sure your library is up-to-date. smile.gif

i have the latest library.
i used bookmanager 2.5. and i faced the following problems:
1. i am unable to assign keys to start it. i made changes to the ini file but didn't work. it starts with the center of joystick but it only displays when in standby mode. when i enter menu or other place and hit the center key, it displays for split second and disappears.
2. when i tried to run two or three elfs at the same time, the phone restarts. i ran logo changer, bookmanager and elf manager and the restart thing happened to me. now i am not running book manager and it is not restarting.
3. i get following message when i get to the elf tab.

Dont worry about that message. Its normal. It just means the elf you selected does not have its own screen to activate.

What elfpack are you using?
All these restarts is definately a lib problem. I will upload my lib when I can. smile.gif
