The folks over at GSMArena have done it again! Apparently, they've managed to get their hands on Sony Ericsson's future flagship phone - the 12 megapixel Satio touchscreen cameraphone. And they're really liking it. Like, really. They also say the screen quality is amongst the best they've seen, despite it being TFT and that itscapacitive nature doesn't hinder usability at all. Furthermore, they state that the Satio produced the most high-quality photos they've ever seen from a phone and that it can easily replace a mid-range standalone camera. Pretty cool, huh? yup..
think of it... 9MP produce about the same quality as innov8 and thats 9mp... 12mp is better by pretty much and THATS A PROTOTYPE! when it will be done even the 9mp will be way better than innov8!! this time.. unlike c905 .. se are going to put an effort to make the camera the best! looks like this time the camera lens and sensor are pretty good! im soooooo waiting to buy it btw the satio will be released in 28.9.09 and thats 100% confirmed will get here in october and im SO going to buy it....  i cant waitt!! |

So many SE's to choose from, i dont have a clue which one to go for, either W995, Aino or Satio theyre all really good in theyre own ways...

strange enough.. im waiting to see what the new OMNIA HD has... they say its recording video at 720p and they already established what processor its using.
What processor is the Satio using? anyone knows. I still however love the Sony Ericsson media interface. I so miss that in my nokia n82

Hi There,
Being new to the forum, but also a K800i owner, I have a few questions concerning the Saito (Idou), but I suppose my questions are general ones about mobile technology. I like SE products, but specifically their mobile phones. This Saito that is to appear on the market later this year is something I am looking forward to. Yet what I don't quite understand is why mobile phone manufacturers do not create new mobile phones with the implementations that I assume everyone wants to see in a mobile phone? Such implementations I am thinking of are 3.5 jack socket for headphones, instead of propriety socketed type...this so the owner can use headphones of their preference. Staying on the 'walkman' side, the inclusion of a music player that is sonically equivalent to an Ipod or my personal favourite, the Creative X-fi Zen music player. Surely, technological capabilities allow for the convergence of these technologies as standard? Also, how about including optical zoom (not digital, which is absolutely awful) on the cameras. You wouldn't need 12+ megapixels to up the ante on picture quality if a optical zoom was present, a 8 megapixel would be more than sufficient for most people's needs. If the Saito was to have these implementations, then I am sure it would prove to be a world-wide smash hit! So why are we not seeing these implementations? |

No-one knows
. I can forgive for not implementing the optical zoom, but the lack of a 3,5mm jack is absolutely unforgivable

another issue for omnia hd is that the video does not sync with the audio and the material used for back cover is below par

Well i am not in favour of omnia. its from samsung and so its utter rubbish. I was only stating that amr recording isn't much of an issue.

guys, i watched the OMNIA HD preview from gsmarena over, and to be honest, 1puke. I dont like it anymore. The IDOU (yes i rather say that than satio
 ) totally pwns it! The camera module is absolutely better than it. If you watch the pictures, the omnia hd clearly falls short.Samsung could take that 720p video recording and send it you know where
