I also posted this on K750i dissassembly thread but this area might be more appropriate.
I changed the cover of my K750i last night with an ebay cover. Everything on the phone works, but the reception has gone bad. It's "emergency calls only" most of the time. What can be the problem? I will disassemble the phone again tonight but I don't know where to look at for antenna or reception. I don't know how this happened cause I assembled everything properly. Please help. |

Is it a genuine fascia? Often the non-gen ones are a poor fit and mean things like the aerial not making proper contact with the mainboard causing signal problems.

No, it is not genuine. It's an orange cover that I bought from ebay. The fit and finish is ok. I'm pretty sure I fitted everything properly and had no problems with the fit of the plastic covers both inside and outside. The phone doesn't have an antenna so I don't know which one of the parts inside is the aerial/antenna of the phone so I can try fiddling with it. That's kind of my question, where should I look to fix this problem? If I only knew which part was for reception I could work on that till i get good reception. |

The k750 doesnt come with an orange fascia (check hardware database (the k750 links)). The antenna is the grey (I think, if not its green) part of the phone at the top end of the phone This post has been edited by cchaos: 2009-05-30 13:35 -------------------- Downloads for w810 (and blackice accoustics for db201x) | Peters V2 acoustics (db2020 only) | Mini guide and download for flash drivers REST file guide for setool2lite | se-nse a-win lounge | Signature rules: READ THEM!
