Question About K750i Joystick Options

So i got problems with my k750i joystick .... i cannot press joystick arrows up or down (they actually work but phone thinks i press OK too... like moving in contact list it goes down but dials that number too)
I hope you will understand my problem and now i have question ...
is it possible to disable joystick OK button with flashing firmware or something like that, (the left button under dispaly does the same thing so i don't lose anything)
it isn't possible to take my phone to repairs at the moment and also i cannot do almost anything with it in this condition.
it would be very helpful if i got that disabled

K750@w800 always had problems with the joysticks, your problem is not a firmware one, it's hardware..meaning that your joystik is faulty (from dust and dirt) and needs to be changed or cleaned...you can try to clean it but it won't do you any good....just replace it (should not be to expensive)

Edit: weirdwilli suggested on a similar matter that you better open the housing of the phone and try to clean it out an aerosol spray with compressed air...maybe it helps

i know that this is hardware problem... also i have tryed to clean it.
and like i said i cannot take my phone to repairs at the moment (i'm in army) ... so i just need a temporary solution for it (i almost cannot do anything with it), that's why i asked a software fix... later if i get joystick fixed i can always reflash my phone again

There is a patch that lets you use the numeric keypad to browse the phone, like 2=up, 6=right,...

Search for that and patch your phone with SEFP or GSlide

Where i can find this firmware for it?... i tried to search google but no success (like i understand the firmware has to be for "red CID49" all other FW's don't work?)
else it's better if it's Region is EMEA_1 and that's hard to get...

wait 10 minutes until I donwload the files and upload them to a file sharing site....i'll edit the post and upload the files you want..and yes you need all 3 files: Main+FS+Cust pack in order to make your phone to work...after you fully flashed these you can try to apply the patch again...you can find lots of flashing and patching tutorials here on the forum....and i still think that the best solution is to replace the joystick..
Edit: Here you are the link to the files you asked for K750 goodies


Be carefull...the file you want is called "Main, Fs and Cust pack.rar", the other one named "Main-Generic, Fs Europe2 and Custpack.rar" is for a w850..and you don't need it....please confirm you understand and you do not download and use the wrong set of files

lol when i had my k750, what i used to do was spray a lil bit of wd40. and use a tooth pick and kinda stick it in and move it around. that used to help out a lil temporarily. but glad you got thru with that patch
