Help With K810i Please. Options

Hi all i am a newbie to this forum and my location is staffordshire. I could really do with some help i have with a k810i. For the last 2 years i have been using a k800i. I programmed my right shortcut key to 'RECORD' this gave me the ability to record a two way conversation when my customers called me, a great feature as i work on site and allways forget to carry a pen. When i purchased my k810i and programmed the right shortcut key to record, it works ok to record a voice note but not a two way conversation from my right shortcut key. I get the message.. 'Currently unavailable'.. it will record the two way conversation if i go 'MORE'..'RECORD' but i do miss that right key function is this a firmware issue that i may resolve by flashing it to k800. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
