K850i Display Backlight Doesn't Work |

My K850i doesn't work properly, after starting the keypad lights up, I hear the starting sound put can't see anything on the display. It's no BROD, the ring on the backsight doens't light blue. I also tried a new display and SEUS but this couldn't solve the problem.
After holding an external light near the display i can see the menu and so on, so gues it's the backlight of the display. Is this a software or hardware problem? Can anyone help me? |

try to turn your backlight to 100%

Most likely it's a faulty screen or cable connection.

Backlight is 100%.
It can't be the cable connection because it doesn't work with a new display that also has another cable. Perhaps the lightsensor doesn't work correctly. |

OK after some research I found out one of these parts could be broken/no connection:
X4200 V4205 N2000 exchange or reflowing is nearly impossible for me.  Think I have to sell it. |

Doubt that you can't fix this problem easily... most likely you did something wrong, like dropped your phone. Just get a bunch of small LEDs, and replace SE's LEDs.

my k850i backlight is also gone now, it started going bad a week back, whenever i pressed the 1,2,* and left keys the backlight went off and only the keypad lights were on, after waiting about 30 secs for the keypad lights to go off and then when any other keys were pressed the backlight came back again, but now its all gone
, i am going to get a new display form ebay and see if it will work, but reading the post above it seems it might not work... any suggestions guys?

hey guys, this is a update to my earlier post, today i removed the cable connecting the lcd to the main pcb board and then bent the cable in the opposite way and reconnected, my backlight is working again, it seems there seems to be some small damage to the cable that is why the blacklight was not working earlier, at least now i know the problem is with the lcd cable and not with the main board, hope to replace with a new lcd if the problem props up again :-)

K850i Display problem?
There is a jumper under keyboard ...... that cut for press u need to repare that that jumper only supply volt for display back light so all other will work properly Do not try yourself if u have no idea how to open your phone Sorry for my poor English............. Thanks |
