It is now clear that the Sony Ericsson C905 is going to be a massive success. Sony Ericsson has just topped the weekly UK sales statistics with a brand share of close to 29 percent following the launch of the C905, Mobile News reports. Sony Ericsson's UK share has grown three percent since the launch of the C905, making it the second best selling contract phone.

- "This is a really good result", said Dave Hilton, marketing manager at Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland to Mobile News.

Also according to the week 44 statistics published by GfK, Samsung takes the second place with Nokia in third.

The buildquality of C905 sucks... I was in Rotterdam today and tested one (tested X1i aswell). The slider was wobbly. REALLY wobbly. The screen can just snap off when being not carefull! X1i didn't feel that good either, the qwerty keys were excellent but the softkeys were hard to notice if one had pressed the button or not...

Still I'm glad it's a success...

Not at all surprised - the C905 is a nice phone and, unlike Photographer, I don't see anything wrong with it's build quality.

I'm surprised at those comments Photographer because like Step I haven't seen the C905 to be shoddily built. Maybe you just had a bad model?

C905 shouldn't have used too much metal, it could be more light if metal wasn't used,

I have it and it is sooo much better than any phone i have used.
the build quality is very good and very strong but photographer must have used a fake demo made out of plastic.

@ step&scots: It could've been a demo model cuz it hasn't been on wink.gif I hope it was... it's bad advertising for se when making cheap and crappy demo models for preview in shops :S

That's just the way things work - what's the point in making expensive dummy handsets?

They're only there to give the buyer an idea of the size of the phone after all.
If they want to see one in action, they'll be shown a proper handset.

Yer exactly because my phone feels very strong and well built it has a pice of metal or stainless steal on the back of the screen so how are you going to break that.
