S500i Options

Hey guys

I was thinking to buy me the S500i , but I read something about cracked keys and now I'm not sure.
On many sites I read that the keys have broken just after a few days or weeks, without doing anything bad with it.
I also read something about a chemical reaction with the color (the green one) and the keys, that's why the keys crack easily.

You know something about it or you know if SE fixed the problem?

I want this phone, but it's not very cheap, and I don't want to buy something that gets broken after a short time ^^

i have an w580 and it's the same as s500 any sony ericsson fixed the problem it a really good phone

i am going to buy a s500 aswell, to fix the cracked keys you can change the housing

My stepdaughter has an S500i, she got it last Xmas, she likes it but now "next" Xmas is coming, so she'll want something new... more expense!! lol
She had a cracked key within a few months and she was still OK to use the phone, but it just got worse, and as of a few weeks ago, she had 6 cracked keys. We bought some new buttons off eBay (rather than put up with her moaning for not having her phone for a few weeks!!) and they were dead easy to fit.

I personally wouldn't swap my K800 for it though... but it is a completely different phone at the end of the day.
