PC Cant Recognize My S500i (w580) Options

Hi,

To use elpacks on my s500 (w580 firmware) i have to do this:
W580:
Create a folder named "Daemons" and a folder named "ZBin in "Other" in the memorycard.
Create two folders in "Other" in phonememory named: "Zbin" and "Config"
Put elfs into "ZBin" in phonememory or the memorystick(your choice)
Put those elfs in "Daemons" which you want to start with your phone(they'l start when your phone turns on) .
Put the "DYN_CONST.bin" file in "Config"

But when i remove my ms from my mobile and select transfer mode my pc cant recognize him?
I have to come in my phonememory?

make sure the drivers are installed properly..n there is no need to remove the ms..kepp it in the phone itself..hope u hav alrady applied the elf patch.. or try using myphone explorer.. it will help to transfer files in phone mode easily..

It doesnt ask me if i want to install the driver or something? so i cant install them, trying mpe now.

No i uninstaled it

it may be the prob.. the drivers are installed automatically with PC suite.. but u can also istall them separately.. when u connect the phone to the PC n if the driver is not there..then it should ask for the CD.. u can try myphone explorer..its a nice application..

Hmmm... i can explorer it via myphoneexplorer, but mine folder are in dutch, does it matter?

File Transfer mode only allows the computer to see the MS.

You need to go Phone Mode and use software like SE PC Suite or MyPhoneExplorer to access the PhoneMemory from there.

As in? It shouldn't matter. The internal file naming should be the same.

If thats the case then how come I can see both my phones memory (obviously excluding the FS, but shows every folder ie pictures, videos etc inc other) AND my memory stick in file transfer mode on my PC as disk drives, even before I installed SE PC suite? My pc runs XP home with SP2 (Im also thinking about dual booting it with linux SUSE 9.00)

As for myphoneexplorer, that will not work via cable: windows will keep pestering and saying "I need a driver". The way around it I found was to use a bluetooth adapter and myphoneexplorer, but make sure your pc and phone are paired up first and using all of the phone com ports etc etc (tried and tested on two k750's and my w810)

No, it dont matter that the folders are in dutch, as long as the folders names are right

What?! Oh no, my phone is faulty?!

The drivers for the cable came with PC Suite, I'm not sure about your phone though.
