Walkman Skin for W910i/k850i, add new walkman/media skin Options

1. open any theme file with tugzip

2. rename the archieve to tar...... and extract all files to a folder

3. open the theme.xml with note pad then add these codes

in this the codes

<Media_portrait_background_image Source="portrait+AF8-backgroung+AF8-SEMC+AF8-Filtered.png" />

are the ones that control the skin so in both cases replace portrait+AF8-backgroung+AF8-SEMC+AF8-Filtered.png with the name of the image that you want to set as the skin


so if the image is star.png then the code should be this


<Media_portrait_background_image Source="star.png" />
<Media_landscape_background_image Source="star.png" />

save the theme.xml file



copy that image to the folder containing the other files and then create a tar archieve

then using tugzip rename it to .thm file

the new skin will be working perfectly



the other codes changes the color of text,progress bar etc in the walkman player

Its changing media menu backgrounds and colours.

this idea clicked when i set the hidden peak theme that has a different background for media


i just saw the difference in the xml codes between this theme and the normal themes and got this

What do u mean by skinning??? Are you referring to animated .gif files as a walkman skin just like in standby??? If not im able to see the same skin as walkman player(infact 2-one for portrait and one for landscape) i edited for media background, its just cool having our own 240*320 image in walkman unlike the black screen, it changes frm protrait to landscape and looks gr8, if this is wht u r referring let me knw... Sorry if im acting too brilliant, its just tht i spent some 2 hrs to edit the skin as sreeraj_1234 told..

Yes we can change the text color

Can u pls tell me which firmware is good currently for w910i?? some says RICA039 and some says RIEA030, i currently have RICA039 and really upset with the walkman as it doesent have good bass at all when compared to w810i the masterpiece...i was thinking whether i can get good bass on new firmwares but not sure though, can u guys give me ur thoughts on this and tell me which wud be the best firmware as of now with repsect to battery backup and sound,...thx a lot in advance...

ok but how abt SEUS?, will it update directly to the newest one R1FA035 from my RICA039 or it will go step by step with earlier versions?????? coz if its so i wud go for it.....Also do u hear any bugs with this new one when compared to the earlier versions.??

Well if your unbranded it should take you straight to the newest one.
I would think there are less bugs with the newer firmwares.

Your phones firmware may have been customized by an operator/network.
Unbranding is completely getting rid of this by flashing generic firmware to the phone.
