W350 presents Sound Snacking

On the 17th of June Sony Ericsson invited me for their Sound Snack event. Their goal was to tell us about their new study called Sound Snacking. In short, sound snacking means almost the same as the ordinary food snacking, listening to a piece of music to make you feel better. All of this will be explained later on.

The event
All invited press members were divided in groups with a maximum of four people. I was invited for the shift at ten o'clock, but I was late so I had to go with the next one. At the beginning we were taken to this really big room without any lights, the only thing I could see was a SE truck standing in the corner and the stairs between me and the truck.
We entered the room at the bottom of the drawing and we walked slowly towards the truck. When we finally came to the truck, a door opened at the back of the truck and a burst of light came out. We were taken inside a small white room with a flat screen on the wall, four chairs and a table with coffee and tea. Our host gave us something to drink while we were watching this video.



After watching this we knew what sound snacking means and we could go to the next room called the lab. This was again a small white room with a flat screen on the wall, four chairs and a table with this time a DJ and a laboratory assistant.  We were instructed to save some spit while watching this video.



We were able to take part of the experiment to and the time had come to spit in a tube. The DJ played some sort of British soul music to change our mood. After 30 seconds we could move on to the 3th and final room where the W350 kicked in. This was again a white room with a flat screen on the wall and a table with a couple of w350’s. While we were watching this video we again had to save our spit.



After this it was time for a questions and answers-round and we had to – yet again - spit in a tube; I will get the results in a couple of weeks.
At the end I was able to secretly take this shot.



I hope you guys you liked my story, and understand what SE means with Sound Snacking.

By the way, one of the SE hosts showed me a clamshell which looked exactly the same as TM506 only it had a walkman branding at the front and it was black, sadly he didn’t want to say which phone it was.

i agree with mattwood , wow sonyericsson.gif sales must be really low lol.gif , i'm 18 but i listen the full tracks so do all my mates so i disagree with the whole sound snacking thing.
