UnLocked K610i Firmware Update Question |

hey guys!
I have a unlocked k610i vodafone with R1JG001 firmware version, and I would like to update its firmware to the latest RKC++ for me to be ale to run the Yahoo! Go application., now if I do this would my phone revert back to its locked status?? I mean would it still be unlocked? I really need to know how this works.. coz I am planning to update my phone soon via SEUS. thanks everyone! |

If you update with seus the chances are it will make the phone cid53 and not patchable to unlock again, personally i wouldnt do it but instead flash with an unbranded firmware and upload a custom pack from xs++ and use simox unlock patch generator to unlock it again -------------------- w850i sandisk 4 gig memory card hpm-82 hands free / k750 > w800 r1bd001 patch unlocked virtual 5.1 surround accoustics xp theme xp startup and shutdown including sounds xp screensaver cchaos cousin btw

setool2lt is the one you need to update firmware, you need to make the patch yourself, it's easy.

I have a feeling you need CID53 firmware because you used SEUS.

ifs\settings\camera: camdriver0.dat needs to be changed (it will overwrite automatically)
ifs\settings\acoustic: just open windows explorer at the directory of your acoustics and drag into XS++ uploading files window when you are at that directory. -------------------- RIP The One.

hey guys!. I have just finished flashing my k610i phone, with xs++, it worked great for me and I am starting to customize most of my phone's setup, i was able to change my menu icons and added new acoustic and camera drivers. one thing though, I tried using/uploading flash themes(/tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash/*** .swf files her***),and I copied the included thm file,. but these flash themes won't seem to work on my phone. ... I was wondering, would my phone be able to support flash themes? I saw the list of flash lite enabled phones and it seems that k610im is the only one to support this. I tried flashing my phone to k610im_R1ED001_TAIWAN, I liked this firmware until I realized that aside from the fact that it has a lower version of JAVA(6.0) than my current firmware (K610i_R1KC001_AFR) I won't be able to use most(if not all) of my mp4/3gp videos as ringtone because of the phone restriction that this firmware gives...Is there any k610im there that do not have this restriction? and with a the latest java version?
