Hey guys,
I'm going to be working on a K810i / W910i main FW hybrid to incorporate FlashLITE© into the K810i for custom Flash menus and Flash games - I'm fed up having to use my girlfriend's W910i to view flash games and files on a phone. Before I begin, I know what I'll be looking to join and merge together - however will I be wasting my time? Has it been attempted before and is it possible? I've managed to flash my K800 (now K810i via software update) with the W910i main and it loaded up but obviously it doesn't slide so wouldn't unlock the keypad or anything as such. The screen did work after transferring the K810i drivers over, and also the sound and lighting was okay. This obviously isn't an option so I'm thinking of extracting what need-be from the W910i main and incorporating it into the K810i main. Are you sure you flashed to W910?
W910 is DB3150 and K800 is DB2020... -------------------- |

well it was entitled W910i_GENERIC_MAIN or something or other. Completely got rid of it when it didn't work out.
What other phone has flash-lite and is DB2020 that I could look into? |

As said in original mate, the flash was successful but the phone was completely inoperable. I'd get a display, but nothing would work.
Anyways, further from this lying acusation that I'm getting - im only asking if this is a possibility? Reason being is I don't wanna go wasting time researching something that's physically impossible :-) Oh and if anyone thinks this isn't possible just let me know, I'm only asking lol |

This kind of thing has been done before.. from what I've seen. Just never knew if this specific goal was aimed for (flash-lite on k810i etc). Hense why i wanna give it a shot.
What'll be the best platform (phone model) for me to start work with? |

I've not, but one of my friends used to be in the scene for a long long time and basically wrote his own firmware for older models. I know securities tighter now etc, but it's just a suggestion and I wanted to see if it's possible. Ive got a spare k800i that i dont mind experimenting with. And for Nick14 , mate come on this is just a suggestion - there's no need to put out the flame so quickly

i don't think it would be possible with w910 firmware. i think it would be technically possible with, eg, w880 firmware, but only if you have intimate knowledge of arm assembly language and a lot of experience with reverse engineering. it's way beyond most people (me included) - and probably too much effort even for those who would be capable.
