Change the Internet Button Link on S500i |

As you may or may not know, the S500i as a button that automatically starts the wap browser in the default provider homepage. This is kinda bad because I accidentally press this key some times and every time I do, the provider charges me for the connection. This it no very cool...
However, if you go to the main menu, there's an item for Internet too, but there's a big different. This menu item doesn't open the default provider homepage, it opens a local webpage that is stored on the phone, thus, no connection to the internet and I'm not charged until I navigate way from this page into the real web... My question is: How can I make the internet phone button open this local webpage instead of going directly to the provider's homepage? I have a feeling this is possible and very easy to do, I just don't know how... --------------------  |

You'll need menu.ml, open it with some editor, like notepad or wordpad. I don't have an internet button on my w580i though, so I can't help you any further.

I've tried but couldn't find a way... I've looked into the menu.ml but all I can find is stuff related to the main menu and not the buttons on the phone...

Hmm, as I said, I don't know anything about the internet button. I don't know if this will work:
Go to Settings -> Internet settings -> Internet profiles -> More -> Advanced -> Change homepage and change your homepage to "file://<PATH TO LOCAL WEBPAGE>". Be sure to change "<PATH TO LOCAL WEBPAGE>" into the path to your local webpage of course.  (I don't know how far your intelligence reaches. Haha!)

Found it: file:///tpa/preset/system/wap/opmenu/default/index.html
But I would like to keep my homepage as the default vodafone live one and make the internet button on the phone point to that local webpage... -------------------- |

Modify the Browser Button http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=14024 This topic will help you as some other users seeked to make that button open up a java app or disbale it alltogether. It apparently requires modifying some text in the .itm files of your fs (I think) , i forgot.... plz check that topic link -------------------- |
