Well, probably if you are reading this is because you face the problem I suffer for a couple of days. If you own a w300i and you have flashed the phone and you get a static screen saying "Please Wait" now read this simple (and without any pics) tutorial. Most of the time, if you got that static screen (which is stuck about 1/4 of the screen) is because there is a trouble with your GDFS (you should make a backup of your GDFS *BEFORE* flashing your phone). Now open SETool and click on IDENTIFY. you will see something like this CODE ChipID:8040,EMP protocol:0301 PHONE IS RED RETAIL PRODUCT FLASH CID detected:49 Speed:921600 Flash ID check:897E Flash props sent ok OTP LOCKED:1 CID:49 PAF:1 IMEI:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx CERT:RED FLASH CID:49 COLOR:RED IMEI MISMATCH ! GDFS IMEI:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Did you see that?. IMEI MISMATCH ! GDFS Thats WHY the phone is static. Thats why your w300i with the firmware R9A031 dont end the process. Now we will fix that problem. You need to create a text file with this: CODE ;W300 R9A031 ;disable OTP<>GDFS check "Please Wait" problem ;(c) alexsam +44140000 1012C93: D0 E0 rename the file to .vkp and upload it with SETool: Load the file on MISC Files Write SCRIPT Let the process FINISH (like you always do flashing your phone) THE END Now you have your w300i RECOVERED. If you have a phone with the firmware R4EA031 use this patch CODE ;W300 R4EA031 ;disable OTP<>GDFS check "Please Wait" problem ;(c) alexsam +44140000 101924B: D0 E0 Now support for R9A036!! Hi guys! I think I've got same problem with w810i. What programme is needed to change text file to a vkp file? I've been using setool lite and xs ++ to flash my phone, hopefully this patch will bring it back to life. Many thanks!

It won't though this is for W300, you need the W810 patch.
