W810i GDFS IMEI Options

I have a w810i RED 49 now on R4EA031 formware. Ages ago i updated it using davinci and ever since it has the old "please wait....." I have searched these forums and done just about everything but cannot get it to work. I didnt backup my GDFS and have tried the OTP - GDFS patch to no avail. I just have the DCU-60 cable supplied with the phone - does anybody have any idea on how to fix this? I am at my witts end now

the fact that its even getting to the "Please Wait" would suggest that its not the GDFS thats the problem. Have you tried using XS++ to reflash the main and the FS?

Yeah ive tried all that - what i need to do is to put the correct imei into the gdfs file but i cannot find any way of doing this - ive even applied the patch to disable OTP IMEI checking at startup but thats doesnt work either ive used a gdfs file from the internet for the time being

if you can find your IMEI in your GDFS, maybe we can fix it since u said that the patch isn't working.

you need a service cable & semctool 8.4 to properly fix this problem.

for repair gdfs you can write a gdfs from working phone and apply the patch ciggy posted, but this only skip otp verification, won´t change imei, to do that you need a box like setool box, semctool wont change imei in w810.

All you can do now is to spare some dime, and use some online (pay per flash) site!

or take it to a technician who works with setool box, just a gdfs repair and you get ypur phone as new

if the gdfs probelm is serious, you can't get it to flash anyway. like my w810i.

ciggy I am just trying that patch now - my patch isnt like that.....fingers crossed - im also after a service cable if anyone is selling one that lives in Lancashire, UK I would like to buy it off them

Sorry the patch didnt work but surely it should as that should disable the phone from comparing phone IMEI and GDFS imei? I really need a service cable - I have heard that the sony ericsson DSS-25 stand works as a service cable aswell the small round white thing that the phone sits in, all this started when i flashed upgrade firmware from davinci site - i have contacted them and they havent replied

you can get a service cable off ebay for around £10.

and i dont need a box to use the service cable? juts plug it into the usb?

My phones imei is 35906400889336 if somebody can generate me a gdfs file and mail it to me at nokiaman2002@hotmail.com thats would be gratefully appreciated

Man, you shouldn't give out your IMEI on the web. Edit your post! And you have your email as well... They could email you a virus.

thats 3 patches in 1, try this patch but it prolly wont work, ive tried it, i can get a foreign gdfs onto my fone np, its getting a working otp<>gdfs check deiabler that aint happening, i get past please wait... no prob but it hangs while searching for network. oh yeah heres the patch.

OK ITS SORTED NOW! what i dis was borrow a friends setool box - format the gdfs, flash firmware and disable OTP IMEI check in settings, thats it - job done! i didnt even write a new gdfs so how its working is beyond me but its working!

if you had said you had access to actual setool box you wouldve been sorted out ages ago. but good on you.

meanwhile anyone can get the patch ( that actually works) to disable this check it would go down a treat.

would it be feasable to steal the method used with the paid version of setool from the sniffing of comms or software reverse? similar to how ppl steal loaders from it etc.
