Hello,

I´m new to patching and flashing my phone. I recently debranded my W300i and I used a patch to enable swf-background-images and it worked well. The one big problem I have is, that a java-application has not the abillity to pause the playing walkman. I programmed kind of a talking stopwatch, but i have to catch an exception when it tries to play the wav-file (an java-Alert does pause the walkman...). On a W580 java IS allowd to play wav-files while the walkman is playing. Is there a way to solve this problem by applying a patch? I saw some patches for my phone to change the file-access-rights of java apps.

regards

There was an APIv3/skvrom patch that allowed a Java app to have access to the internal FS, but it was for W700 and other models, perhaps it is possible to make a patch that does what you're saying. Of course, it'll be necessary to find the offsets and values in the W300 firmware that control such permissions. AFAIK, this hasn't been done yet and still is under research & development. Maybe if a patch maker does come across this particular topic, they can help you out. But still, the chances are slim so I wouldn't get my hopes up, neither am I discouraging you from trying.
