Doesn't it look great? The back is made of metal in silver colours, with a 5 mega pixel camera on the top of the phone, as well as a stylus pen on the top right of the phone.



So, the days with pictures of Paris are now over. We'll see if and when we can post a video smile.gif

I like the sound of the back being made of metal for aesthetic reasons, but would that degrade signal quality and/or Wi-Fi reception?

I'm still wondering where the loudspeaker is as I can't see anything on the back. Perhaps it is on the front like in the S500i/W580i?

I'm still shocked of the bugs I had in my P990i , and still angry.gif
I won't be stupid again and to book a one from the dealer , I'll check it on websites and from my near friends rofl.gif

I think the Wireless b/g is one of the big advantages , becuase the recieving range became bigger which gives the user more flexibility smile.gif

the GPS is realy needed these days more than the mobile it self some times happy.gif

but honestly ? I think I'll wait for the newer walkman.gif samrt version that cares UIQ 3.3 in it , with at least 8 GB capacity and the FM taransimeter devil2.gif

I hope the newer operating system support the camera much more , because the older system wasn't producing real 2-3 MegaPixles photos thumbdown.gif

I remember the W550i yes with its stereo speakers but that had one speaker on the side and still one on the rear, strangely. I always thought that would have made more sense to have one on each side

I may be mistaken but I believe that FM transmitters aren't necessarily legal in all countries, so I'd be surprised if SE were to build one into a phone.

On top of which, they're the absolute worst way of connecting a device up to a stereo - even those cassette adaptors sound better.

I haven't looked twice at the W980 to be honest.

I am surprised though, 'cos it could make selling the phone problematic in some countries.
I mean, in the UK, up until a few months ago, FM transmitters were technically illegal unless you had a broadcasting licence.

I know what you mean but I'm sure they have considered that and probably did before releasing the MMR-60/MMR-70 FM Transmitter accessories. I suspect they are allowed because they are very short range transmitters and as such really aren't much use as a pirate radio wink.gif
