Yeah, while the phone may be lacking in features, that awesome D-Pad will set it apart from the rest and hopefully guarantee it a few sales. I want to see the mid-ends sell so Sony can put their income into developing truly great high-enders!

It isn't a joystick, there is simply a central select button with up/down/left/right being the surrounding keys with dots on.

Looks a little cramped around the D-pad to me but it's hard to be sure with no sense of scale.

I know what youmean but it shouldn't be cramped as the buttons are quite large in proportion.

as long as the directional buttons are raised enough 'as they look in the picture' should be easy to use...
