I transferred a .jpg photo, from my PC, to the Memory Stick in my W300i. I can see it on the Memory Stick, with the Linux file manager or the Windows XP file manager. However, after I disconnect the phone from the PC, when I go to the W300i File Manager > All Files > Pictures, I can see the other photos that were already on the Memory Stick, but, I cannot see that photo. Viewing from the PC, with the cable connected to the phone, the photo appears to be like all the other photos. Note: Phone was debranded and then unlocked and this is probably the first time I have tried to move a file onto the phone since then. Linux and Windows can see the photo on the Memory Stick, without any problem, but, I cannot view the photo when using the W300i File Manager. Note: Before the phone was debranded and unlocked, it had WSOD. The only problem I have had with the phone since then is trying to view this photo on the phone, so I can use it for a contact. TIA!

What location did you move the picture to on your memory stick?

MikLSP: Thank you for replying to me! Much appreciated!

I am using the Linux OS at this moment. I clicked on: Phone Card > DCIM >100MSDCF >

There are 19 photos, including the photo I transferred a couple of days ago, from my PC to the phone. The Linux File Manager shows 19 items and that is correct. The photo I cannot view from the W300i File Manager appears to be like the others that I can view from the W300i.

This is probably the first time that I have moved a photo from my PC to the phone, after the WSOD and the change of Firmware and the unlocking.

Do you think the Memory Stick or something else was damaged, when the phone had WSOD? This is the *only* problem I have had with the phone, after installing new Firmware, Debranding and Unlocking, 3 1/2 months ago.

TIA! Lanny

That is the camera folder and only pictures tagged as being taken by the camera will show up in there.

You should put the picture into PHONE CARD/Picture

PS- I'm assuming you mean you cannot see the file at all.

Even if the phone couldn't actually view the picture it would still show the file in File manager.

I think the problem is as I suggested while you were typing that reply though wink.gif

SOLVED! THANK YOU! My W300i doesn't have PHONE CARD/Picture but I got your idea. I put it into Phone Card > MSSEMC > Media Files > image and now it is working properly. :-)

That's correct. I could not see the file at all before. The other photos are in both locations on the Phone Card, but after I put this new photo into Phone Card > MSSEMC > Media Files > image *that* apparently is where it needed to be.

Hi: file size is 38.7 KB so that wasn't the problem. I solved it, by putting the file into a different area of the Phone Card, as suggested by MikLSP

Glad you got it sorted, sorry the media folders for your particular handset were different to others but at least you got the idea thumbsup.gif
