Looks horrendous. Scrolling through page after page filled with that would make the forum look terrible!

I agree, on some sites they're so big that my broadband takes a good 15 seconds more to load any of them , and if i dont wait and scroll down before they're finished loading it just loads another picture and makes it scroll back up again if you get me

I certainly do, I hate it when pages keep jumping back to the top because another image has loaded.
Anyone who wonders what it's like should take a look in the Camera Picture of The Day thread, that has tons of pictures and takes a while to load. Now imaging every page being like that because of signatures!

still seems to be plenty of users ignoring the new forum rules on signatures, be it a few extra user bars or to much text/pictures.

the old rules didn't allow images and text, the new ones do. @ Matt I have removed quite a few and will continue to do so as I come across them. I wanted to put two emoticons in my signiture, but they didn't look ok one beside the other. It seemed too much animation to me, so I decided to keep just one, the other remained just the Y! code for it: :)>- (Peace) And about the avatar size in my opinion is ok and I do agree that there are spaces that lack functionality, but hey...
