Hi there.

I debranded my T650i two weeks ago. Everything went fine, and the phone was working 100%.
Then a few days ago, my camera stopped working. When I activate the camera, I get a black screen with the camera icons on, and then the phone freezes for a minute or so, before I can get back and turn off the camera again. No pictures are received form the camera.

Can this be firmware-related?

What would you guys suggest I do?

What does the service menu show about:

A: The camera driver version?
B: The camera test option.

Camera software version (translated to english, as my phone is Danish):
Camera: 4.5
Video-call camera: 3.1

My phone firmware is R8BC004

The camera-test just shows a black screen.

Did you drop the phone or anything?

I think you can open the FS and try replacing the camdriver0.dat with the one from the older firmware.

I don't think it is an hardware problem because with my K750, I dropped the phone badly and the camera's flex cable broke and the camera got disconnected . As a result of that, the camera information would not show in the service menu.

Hope it works out for you smile.gif.

BTW: Is T650 db2020? I can't seem to find any pictures of the UI.

As far as I know, the T650i is a DB2020 CID52.

Well.. Now I've tried with another camera driver, and the same thing happens. Is it possible that the camera cable have slipped out of the connectors itself?

It could have done. IMHO 2 weeks is a long time.

Thanks btw.

Wee - somehow I just fixed the camera by throwing the phone into the floor tapping the camera cover lightly a few times.. It must be a bad wire or something.. cool.gif

Lol, not to put your spirits down or anything but I would still open it up and fix it.

When my camera stopped working ; a quick bang (lol that sounds wrong) would sort it out. Until I did it too much and the camera module was beyond repair.

Hi. i also have this problem now. after updating my software version into:
1200-2562
R8BC004
071211

when i activated the camera, i also got black screen, except for the menus., i am able to see them,
but whenever i tried to capture (even though its all black) the phone hungs a bit.

anyways, after i updated the software, it works ok for 2 days, i can still use the phone,
the after 2 days, i cannot use it anymore.

have you solved this problem yet sir?
i am so disappointed, i wished i didn't updated the software few days ago. sad.gif(
