Hi,
i've just extract the MIDETERR FS for W850i I was looking at "W850_R1KG001_FS_MEDITERR_RED52.raw\TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\SOUND" when i saw these 3 files : phoneopen1.3gp phoneopen2.3gp phoneopen3.3gp I open them in Winamp and i hear pretty cool sounds which would fit perfect for phone sliding. I'm wondering why are those files imported if not used? At least my W850i doesnt have a sliding sound o.O Any idea on it? That file use by Z series like Z1010, Z550, Z300. When open the flip, you will hear the sound. But some latest Z series, this no longer use, like Z710 and also W710.

How to do it:
Open menu.ml in some text editor and add to sounds tab in settings: CODE <element id="Settings_Sounds_JackOpen_Id"> <label type="name" textid="MENU_JACK_KNIFE_OPEN_SOUND_TXT"/> <link type="internal"/> </element> Then save it, upload to phone, turn on, go to menu->settings->sound tab and look there. What you can see? NOTHING! ha ha... Where it hangs? Someone must create patch to enable it. (this is w580's problem too...) So... now I've got 2 theories:
1) I fonund in MAIN something like "fidden" functions. ("Settings_Sounds_VideoTelephonyRingSignal", "Settings_ExternalDisplayLight_Id") and there is also our "Settings_Sounds_JackOpen_Id". I tried to delete it (replace with 00000... in hex) but didn't works. So we need to get it out of there. (this is at 1A58500 in w580 r6bc002) 2) We can solve it as like w550. There must be one file in FS, where is writen which sound is used. We need to find this file in w580's and add jackopen things. Then we can just use patch for move openphone1/2/3.3gp from fs to other (or sounds...) -------------------- W580i iPhone 3G |

i was lookin through the main in winhex... switched to unicode and the phoneopen sound files are there ??
also in ASCII search there is flip device in offset 19B0198 and ejack flip device driver at offset 1619A8 any idea wot they r?? -------------------- W595.. 2GB card.. mah bassline bangerz... jus nicee... |
