Yes, I searched...couldn't locate this issue. New to this forum, old to many others non-cell related. wink.gif

I debranded, upgraded CID from 49 to 51 and also unlocked the other day. All is perfectly fine except for one issue.
The external display will go dark during 'standby' mode and usually displays the following...
*A gray 'bar' at top portion of the screen.
*The screen will go completely black, then if I push the volume up/down or camera button the screen will show back up completely reversed...as if I am looking at the screen through a mirror. (if I push volume again the screen will return to normal)

Anyone else out there heard of this?...most importantly, other w710 users, does the 710 even have a floating clock option?

As I said in the beginning, the phone works completely fine except for this little nuissance...I'm perfectly fine with the external screen error but if there is a quick fix it would help.

Unlocked using European 4 CID51...if that matters

Never heard (or seen) that before, but I have seen some very strange things when different SE phones have been flashed.

My thinking is that SE firmware has a lot of features we never see (future proofing for other phones that never made it out of R&D, or the telcos out there never used them) and now and again one of these are "Switched" on.
Saying that I don't know how the new "Feature" in your phone would be useful tongue.gif

I have found that re-flashing with SEUS usually fixes things (or you could just replace the display driver using FAR).

I'll update with SEUS and hopefully that will fix it.

Another question.
If I update with SEUS or flash the firmware, will it 're-lock' my phone back to Suncom?...or has my unlocking made it 'permanent'?

If you have a 'patched' unlock (which you probably have!) it will relock.

How did you unlock ?

Probably the full hardware unlock, but you if it was a patch then you can re-patch it using SETool2 lite

So re-patch with SETool2 Lite?...I'll look that one up since I am fairly new to this.
