Add Extra Languages !, Not getting FS of your choice ?? Read on ! Options

i don't know if this topic has been posted.. search found out no results.. so lets talk about this now!!

Don't worry !! the only difference in FS of a particular phone is language files and of course some preloaded settings of Operator WAP and MMS settings that's!! well may am not sure.. there might be some more differences but this does not bother us

So U need to get your language files and its t9 dictionary file and upload it to the phone FS and enable that language !
get your language files form any SE phone FS..it may be for k800 or w810i or any phone....
here is the download list of many FS files

Using this list find out in which FS u might get ur language files

Using FAR goto \TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\LANGUAGE and delete only the setting files there .. !! don't delete the .t9 and .lng flies

Get the FS and extract its contents and get the language files and upload it your phone...
in FS get language files here \TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\LANGUAGE

then upload the files using XS++ to \TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\LANGUAGE\** here **

the files u need to upload is EN.LNG and EN.T9 for English
if your language code is XY then get that XY.LNG and XY.T9 file and upload it..

then edit that customize.xml in notepad to enable your language ( which is very easy once u look into it.. as its not a big file.. contains max of 20 lines )

Hi there..I'm just wondering if it requires master reset in order to activate any extra languages added each time, Could somebody tell me this?

^^^^^^ did not get u ! do a master rest.. it takes away nothing much from phone....

add languages properly and at start u must get that language option

I've uploaded zs.lng to TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\LANGUAGE\ and edited the customize.xml like shown above..still i couldnt get it in language option..I wanted to add chinese support to my K810.. currently having R6BC002 FS S_ASIA_LEVAN on the phone..HELP ME PLSE??

With the customization xml file you mean the CDA specific one? but for my k800 i can't find the correct custom pack CDA, which is CDA102511/49 EUROPE_5, can i take some other europe 5 CDA and change the string to one that is mine?

I also saw that in the custom cda packs there are many .itm files, do i need them too?

try comparing different FS files u can get the differences !

well those .itm files are wap links to SE websites
just delete those crap .itm files
they have nothing to do with languages

My question is where to find this customize.xml, i can't download from the cell, and i did not find customization file for my cells CDA, and others include some strange xml tags that contains numbers.

using the xml as in the one provided in the previous post, will it work?

u get customize.xml in a cust pack

ok those packs with CDA and numbers are cust packs..
use any custpacks.. man and mod it as required.

Try with chinese, i tried with zh and zs and both of them don't show up the language option. However, i can see the characters. I just can't use it as a menu option.

Hi!

First of all, thank you VERY much with this tutorial it helped alot! Now i'm only ONE step away to get this working. I managed to upload the chinese language pack (zh.lng) on my NEW AND UNTOUCHED (as in no flash, no unlock, straight out of the box, less than 12 hours old phone ).

I have to modify allowed_language.txt and customize.xml. I see both files on my phone in XS++ but i cannot download them off the phone to modify them. I tried using FAR (db2020) to download the file or edit on the phone but when i try to download the file, the filesize is 0 for both files.

I'm so close but yet so far!

I'm using XS++ 3.1 (Darwin)

yeah.. i saw that link when did my research.. turns out that it will NEVER work unless i flash my phone using an asian firmware..
