S500i Tim Unbranding - Plz Help Options

First of all hallo and sorry for bothering but im a real noob about flashing.

I have those 2 files now :

S500_R6BC002_FS_EUROPE_5_RED52.fbn
S500_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED52.mbn

All I need is to flash those 2 files with XS++ v1.6.8 right ?
Need I other softwares after flashing or to do something also ?
Have I to flash those files in one time or main first and after flash fs ?

After connecting my phone to XS++ i recive those messages

you don't need any other software but the one u already have. have u checked the video for the XS? Also, u should install the flashing drivers for the USB cable. i tried it without installing it and it didn't work at all. So try to get those drivers from the forum. If you need them i could upload them, so just let me know i honestly haven't been able to flash my phone cuz i'm probably as much a noob as you or even more, but if i can help at all, just pm me or something.

Hi cdofrancesco,

Had you succefully uploaded firmware?
I cannot make it, after loading .fbn and .mbn files operation the Xs++ 1.5 program freeze.
After unplug the usb cable mobile cannot power on the mobile, I have remove and put back the batter to use it again... (fortunally the mobile is not dead!!!)

Anyone can help me?!

first thing use xs++ 1.6.8..
second...if u are flashing FS u will need to finalize your phone too..

FINALLY MADE IT!!! FSX works like a charm. Just flash the file system and the firmware separetely and it should work.let me know if you have any doubts and i'll help you out walking you through it

custom pack contains files u need for phone to work..
there are different packs...and u need one with ur language etc..
start at topsony, and if u cant download there tell me witch one u want

I dont know what is good for me, I use mobile with italian operator, I think cdofrancesco had same condition and use these 2 files:

but how finalize the FS?! (or FS contain FS already finalized?!)

well from ur previous post i see u used S500_R6BC002_FS_RUSSIA_RED52.fbn
so u will need custom pack with russian language..

and for uploading custompack there is a video in xs++ 1.6.8 tread
it shows how to upload ur own custompack..

Hey have you solved your problem? i actually encountered the same problem...what i did was once i flashed the fs i re-flashed the main firmware and that's about what worked for me. Also, try unzipping the "default_upgrade_davinci_W_CID51_52" or the custom pack to the "files_to_upload" in the FSX folder as shown in the above tutorial and flash it again with the already flashed file system. That should work if you're still not able to do so, let me know. I can send you a pack of the files i used if that could help.

Hi there! I just recently got me an s500i and before a week went by the phone goofed and doesnt want to start up any more. I went to 2 SE shops and they BOTH said that they couldnt fix it cuz they didnt have the right firmware. I bought my unit in Hong Kong but im here in the Philippines. At any rate, i went out on a limb and started to experiment with editing the firmware myself. So far so good, im using XS++ and used the following files for my firmware:

S500_R6AC003_FS_TIM_ITALY_RED52.fbn
S500_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED52.mbn

Im having the same problem with the Configuration Error, and can't seem to get around it. I tried Top Sony, but can't download a single thing T-T (at least for the next 2 months and 20 messages T-T)

mirko750 suggested finalizing the phone, but im also not sure what custom pack to use. I've tried your suggestion on updating the main firmware again, but to no avail... Please help!

P.S. Is it possible to change my network from Hong Kong to Philippines? and would you know how I could change to the "AsianLatin2" language pack?

I've no idea why they did that if your phone is CID53 - it can't be unlocked using XS++ like that (well for Windows, no. Unless they gave you the Linux PhoneXS, even then, patching can't be done using that either, so?)

they didn't know it was CID53, i only found out myself once xs++ told me in the log file.
